Once again, the liberals living in New York are complaining about things that they knew would happen. For those of you who have the luxury of not living in what's still a bastion of anti-government sentiment, this weekend, NYPD conducted a search of the five districts of New York with the intend of apprehending those who are living out of district. These rules exist to protect us. Unless you want another 11/17 to happen, you'd better follow them, and support the police in their efforts to catch those who don't. The Housing and Redistricting Act is simple. Live where you're supposed to. That's it. There have been complaints of 'police assault' and of overcrowded jails. You know what? I've been looking into this and I haven't found a single case of anything that could even come close to assault by a police officer that wasn't provoked. Our police officers deserve our respect. They work long, hard hours for not nearly enough pay. They're the reason that we're safe now, on a day to day basis. And you know why the prisons were overcrowded this weekend? Because so many people were breaking the law. That's what living out of district or without a NIC is. It is against our laws, and if you don't want to follow those laws, you have to suffer the consequences. If you can't deal with those consequences, follow the law. Last I checked, they were still teaching about cause and effect in American schools, so people should understand it. It's a pretty simple concept. |
