"I...what?" Naomi burbled over the steak in her mouth. But before she could finish chewing enough to give the words of retaliation room enough to be heard, Caroline had already jumped into the heart of her excited explanation. The woman was clearly passionate about the idea, and by the time Naomi could have cut her off with a refusal to pay for the meal of a woman who was practically a stranger and who had, up until that point, been nothing but rude to her, Naomi had been charmed by the sheer excitement in Caroline's speech.
Instead, she shook her head with a ridiculous smirk and swallowed. Fair enough. Caroline had won this round, but Naomi swore to herself that the next meal was on the Texian.
"I wouldn't know about specific locations currently available," Naomi said, after Caroline's speech had dwindled, "but I would recommend checking out the areas near Fifth and Eleventh or Twelfth. You'll catch the NYU crowd and some of the New School students."
