"You're staying over hols? Did I forget I knew this?" Tristan inquired as he glanced to Danny. Maybe he'd stay this year, too. With fewer students around, maybe he'd spend the night with Danny a time or two.

If Danny was interested. Which, of course, he might not be.

"Mind like a sieve, that one," Lan murmured with a grin. "And professors are people too," he pointed out. "They do things that normal people do."

"What if Acevona started shagg--"

"Oh, god. That's not right." Lan scowled at Tristan before he could finish the sentence. "That's different. That'd be like ... your mom shagging professor Rayne," he said.

Tristan blinked. "Right, then, change of topics is in order." Because ... they had ventured into disturbing territory.
