September 21--Lunch Talk

Ellie sat down next to the fourth year Muggle best friend. There was nothing more than Eline to her. She could probably live without love and all with just her best friend. She was truly the best and she didn't care much about the differences they both had. Ellie's parents never let her go outside the wizarding realm but maybe one day Eline would take her. "Hey,what's going on?"She asked short of words today.

Eline pushed a piece of hair behind her ear--hair which she had woken up an hour early to straighten, magic wasn't always poof then you're done--and looked to her best friend. Surprisingly, she hadn’t dropped Ellie. With all her other ‘friends’ she didn’t spend more then a few months with, every new term though, Ellie would seek out Eline brightly, and Eline wouldn’t dismiss her like she had to others.

“Nothing really.” Eline shrugged. She glanced at the food the house elves had served. It looked edible, unlike the stuff they served back in Muggle school.

“Food looks good today,” she noted.

	"Isn't the food wonderful here?"Ellie had heard some of Eline's remarks about Muggle school food before. "We should really plan to something together." She felt as if she needed to catch up with Eline since they haven't seen each other in awhile. She hated the break when she didn't get to see her spunky best friend. “The house elves actually cook it, not like the generic refrigerating crap they served us on my old school…” Eline stared at nothing in particular, with a look of distaste on her face. She was picturing the baked fried chicken at her old school. That’s not even possible--baked fried chicken--but somehow they managed to serve greasy chicken out of the oven. Yuck.

Eline shook out of it, and looked at Ellie as she began to absentmindedly pile food onto her plate. “So what should we do then?” she asked.

	"Nice," Eline chuckled. She ran her fingers though her hair and glanced around the Great Hall. Then she laid her eyes back on Ellie. She wondered what they could do that was fun but couldn't cause much trouble. She always remembered Ellie's prefect status. "We could... send people prank owls? I dunno...
