"See anything you like?" Beckett wondered idly, trailing a finger over some of the closer amulets before lifting one from the table to inspect for herself. She turned it this way and that for a moment before frowning, inspecting the clasp, and returning it to its spot.
"Something that catches the eye, perhaps? For a collection, a conversational piece..." She lifted one slim finger for each listed use, but stopped when she lifted the third finger. Frowning again, she inspected Varin thoughtfully.
"I've not seen you."
It was almost an accusation. Natasha had thought she knew most of the frequenters of the Alleys. Someone new, then. Or someone who didn't normally make a point to visit jewelry stalls or attend the dreadful parties that came with roaming in similar circles as the other purebloods.
Which she assumed he was. The other sorts of wizard shouldn't be welcome in Knockturn. At least... not in her opinion.
