As she settled into it, crossing her legs Indian-style, she glanced over at him again. "And I'm not late! Train's not gone yet, is it?" Sure, she hadn't been there as soon as it was possible to get on, but as long as she hadn't been running to jump on as it was leaving the station, there wasn't really a problem with it that she saw!
"...Summer was boring," Madeleine sighed, dropping the subject abruptly. "Honestly, if I have to hear once more about things at home and how boys do this and why do girls think that and so on and so forth, I'm going to go completely bloody nutters, I swear it! Really, I-I-R-C..."
As the letters left her lips, Madeleine's eyes widened--she gasped, clapping her hands over her mouth. "It's spreading!" she shrilled in horror, voice only slightly muffled.
