James was nearly dancing in place as he sacrificed five precious seconds to allow Lily and Rose to catch up a little. But that was all he allowed before darting forward again, stopping once more only long enough to stretch a little taller and have a look around for anyone he knew.
It wasn't like he hadn't seen anyone all summer, but things just weren't as interesting away from Hogwarts.
And he was dying to crow to someone other than his family about how Puddlemere United had jolly well thumped the other team in the European Cup.
