"I'm not sure how I'm to reply to that," Alex answered, smirking a little. "I'm afraid I've never been one for things that might prove dangerous. Call me a coward, call me a wise man. It's all the same to me, really."
Though he kept his pleasant smile in place, Alex was frowning slightly internally. He really didn't know what to make of this man yet. He would have to ask around and see who knew him afterwards. Jay knew some of the sorts that reminded Alex of this man -- he would ask him first.
"Looks like another arrival," Alex remarked, jerking his chin back toward the entrance to turn the conversation down another track.
