WHO: Mercy and Tonks
WHAT: Mercy vs The Planet. (Her arrival.)
WHEN: Afternoon
WHERE: Outside the main building.
WARNINGS: PG-13 for Language.
STATUS: Complete

Mercy rose from the grass pulling her tired body into a standing position, a swarm of people were moving around her as they were all trying to hurry up and go nowhere. The concert had been marvelous and Sam's voice had been just as she remember it, calm, loud and something she could float away on for a while. Mercy stretched and leaned on Warren waiting for the others to clear the field, she grabbed her side it was still sore from her work out in the day and the sitting for almost two hours didn't help make matters any better.

After limping across the littered filed she finally got herself into her beat up old Rabbit of a car, giving herself a pep talk on having her body parts drive her home. She'd been with the guys most of the day it was time for a little peace for herself. Besides there was an oil change she had to get done at the garage before morning and it was best to get it done now then later.

Mercy had far to many things on her mind just how she was going to get her friend Zee's named cleared from a murder allegation, by now she should be used to being used as a police dog to do investigations. Maybe with a little break from the craziness her mind would be clear enough to prepare her story for the attorney Kyle had found to take Zee's case.

Just to think two short years ago she had done her best to stay out of trouble, but now her nose being caught in places it didn't belong brought more attention to herself then she ever thought was possible. She'd killed werewolves, murdered two vampires and was now snout deep in Fae affairs, a dark place that could mean death if she messed up. Zee was worth it though, he was the man who had given her a job and now ownership of the shop, thinks would work out, they just had to.

“Shit!!” Mercy yelled as her thoughts had gotten in the way of her driving, the rabbit was suddenly slipping on what seemed to be ice, tiers screeching sending her into a tailspin sending the car slamming into a large white bank of some sort. Her driving skills were enough so she could evade serious injury, her neck however was sore from her head snapping back on the abrupt stop. “Damn it!” She cursed fury starting to boil in her body.

Pushing the car door open she got out, sneakers sinking into a new ground covered in snow and ice. She gasped in disbelief and hoped this wasn't another meeting with one of the Gray Lords. “Not again, I'm in enough trouble as it is, I don't need this.” She huffed, hands rubbing her arms as the cold nipped at her skin forming goose bumps. “Where the hell am I?” Mercy yelled in frustration to no one in particular, and was convinced she was back in Fairyland.

Turning around she spotted someone with brightly colored hair that could be seen through the abysmal winter scene that had manifested itself in front of her car. Mercy waved her arms “Hey you there, mind helping me?”

Tonks was always a cheerful person. Everyone who knew her could be fairly certain that if they needed cheering up, she was the one to come to. Sure, she couldn't keep on her own two feet for more than a couple of seconds at a time unless she was working, but she sure could brighten up a room. And not only because her hair was, more often than not, some totally bizarre and bright color.

But this was beyond even her normal exuberance. Being snowed in last night normally would have pissed her off to no end. She was the sort of person who liked to be kept busy, and curling up with a book in front of a warm fireplace wasn't exactly her style. Of course, company could make all the difference. And that was what had happened last night. She would probably be floating for days, really.

When she'd woken up in the late morning, Marcus was already gone. But her bed still smelled like him, so she basked there for a long time, just soaking that in. Finally, though, she was done with that. She was far to active to be okay with just sitting around for very long. And she really needed a shower, not to mention some food. So she got up to make those two things happen.

However, as she stepped outside her room after she had showered and clothed herself in her customary, casual manner, she was stopped but a large humanoid form looking rather like a big rock formation. She sighed and rolled her eyes at it. She wasn't a big fan of the fact that she'd been kidnapped, and was always fairly rude to the golems.

"Bloody hell, just what I needed to ruin a perfectly good mood..." She tilted her head, waiting for it to do something. These golems never just stopped people for no reason. And, just as she'd figured, the thing held out a key to her. She'd been through this drill often enough. She was going to have to show someone around the place. Oh, well. She was in a good enough mood that she could handle it. She just hoped they wouldn't get too violent.

With this thought, she gave the golem one more annoyed look, and then patted the back pocket of her jeans. Her wand was there, safe and sound, so she headed out. It took her quite awhile, this time, to find the owner. But suddenly, when she was by the snow forts and trying to avoid being hit by flying snowballs, a car appeared out of nowhere. It skidded and crashed, and Tonks was instantly moving at a sprint.

When she got to the car, she was sweating lightly. But that didn't matter. She wrenched open the door, only to be confronted with a woman. Long, black hair, dark eyes, and a very confused expression on her face. She grasped her wand in one hand, just in case, and smiled at her in a friendly enough way.

"Wotcher! I'm Tonks. Are you new?"

Mercy closed her eyes tightly a hand rubbing at the back of her neck, so many thoughts were buzzing through her mind or was that another result of the crash she just had? She was though and had taken worse bumps wrestling with the wolves then this so the pain wasn't much of an issue but still a bother.

Walking around to the front of the Rabbit to survey the damage her poor volkswagen once again took, the poor thing was on it's last set of tires unless she could preform some more near magical cpr and revive the thing, once she had time that is.

Once the woman came closer her nose picked up one of the most peculiar scents she ever came in contact with, it wasn't anything like the magic she felt back home but something new and more lively, almost like candy, and was somewhat oddly familiar she just couldn't place the girl.

Her eyes ran over the other woman from head to toe and noticed the wand in her hand then she knew this girl had to be some sort of witch. She hadn't come in contact with many and the one she had wasn't exactly Wiccan of the year.

Mercy put out her hands in front of herself low to show the woman she wasn't armed with anything or even in a fighting position, she never sensed any evil here, normally she had a good instinct about these things and it helped she wasn't exactly human herself. “It's ok, you don't need a wand around me, I'm harmless really."

Um do you mind telling me where exactly here is? And how did I get here?” She had a puzzled look on her face fingers still rubbing her neck. “Oh and you wouldn't happed to be able to conjure me up a jacket?” Mercy laughed a little, humor was one of her favorite crutches.

Well, that was a relief. The other woman was fine. And, on the plus side, she'd managed to sprint over to her without falling on her face. That was always a bonus. Although it did tend to be like that with her, she was fine when there was danger. Or, apparently even percieved danger. She smiled encouragingly at the woman.

"You know what this is?" She glanced down at her wand and then up at the other woman. Her eyes narrowed slightly. She had yet to meet anyone who knew what her wand was, other than others from her own world. And she really wasn't an Auror on her own world for nothing. She looked the other woman over, and nodded to herself.

"Well, you aren't a threat, anyway. I could tell if you were. Not a dark wizard." The tone was no nonsense, but she quickly ruined it by giving the other woman a mischievious smile. She took the question as a real request, though she knew that she probably hadn't meant that way. Her wand flicked, and the jeans and t-shirt than the other woman wore instantly changed into thick, fluffy clothing much more appropriate for the climate.

"Right, then." She nodded as she surveyed her handiwork. "There you are." With that, she tucked the wand into her back pocket and dodged a snowball that went flying past her head. "Come on. Let's go somewhere else, I don't fancy being hit with a snowball right now. Come on!" She turned around and started working her way over to the edge of the snow fort. Once there, she turned to watch if Mercy would follow... and being Tonks, promptly slipped and fell on her backside. This wasn't exactly an uncommon occurance for her, and she quickly made her way back to her feet.

Mercy laughed a little at the odd tingling feeling of magic that spun around her forming new clothing on top of her layers. "Thanks this is much better." She nodded. "Yes I know what a wand is, I've never seen one up close but where I come from we are not strangers to magic of all forms. There are fae, vampires, werewolves and walkers, and some more nastier beings, I don't mean to lump you into any sort of category but your kind are the only ones who are more uncommon."

“My name is Mercedes Thompson, but everyone calls me Mercy.” She offered out a hand being overly polite adding a smile. “And that's my beat up rabbit.” She sighed a little. “Old girl has seen better days.” She shook her head.

Still not knowing where she was or what was going on she had a gut feeling that she had better fallow this woman and do as she was told. “Right then!” She nodded and walked along the same path as the other had dodging snowballs along the way, she was more easy on her feet then the other had been. “Are you alright?” She watched the woman still wondering what to fully make of her.

Tonks frowned as she got to her feet, but not because of the fall. She was used to that. It was Mercy's words that had her thinking. "You are a Yank... I mean, an American, right? I can tell from the accent." Of course, to most people, Tonks was the one with the accent but that didn't occur to her. She thought about this all for awhile before coming to a conclusion.

"Are there...magic schools in the United States? I have never heard of them, but it's only logical..." And what Mercy was saying sounded quite similar to her own experience at Hogwarts. "Are you a witch, then? Only you can't be, because you don't have a wand..." She glanced at the car and her eyes widened. "And you drive a muggle car."

She brushed some snow from her hair as she considered the other woman. "There's something about you, isn't there?" She murmured under her breath. "You're not just a muggle." It wasn't a queston. She was certain of this. "But there's enough time to talk about that later... first, I have some rather... strange news for you."

She hesitated as she looked at the other woman. It was always a toss up. Explain here, or show her the plaque? But Mercy seemed like a reasonable enough woman. So she took a deep breath. "This is all going to sound very bizarre, but you've been kidnapped by a lonely Planet. We all have. I was brought here from London almost a month ago, now." She looked at Mercy anxiously to see how she was going to take this. "If you think I'm a nutter, I understand. There's a plaque you can read that might clear things up."

Mercy nodded surveying the other closely also looking around to take in some of the scenery it was rather beautiful in it's own way and reminded her of Montana, the cold here however wasn't quite as harsh. She laughed at being called a Yank that was a term mostly used for people on the east coast. “You could say that yes, I'm from Washington. And you're from the UK I take it? I have a very good friend who's a Welshmen. ”

Most people would have been freaked out by all of this but over the last few years she had seen and heard enough to hardly be surprised by things of this nature, besides she knew everything wasn't as it appeared to be, that she had learned as a young girl. “No their arn't any Magic Schools, at least non that I know of...you see where I come from people who are different like you and me have mostly lived in hiding from pure humans..uh muggles?” She assumed that's what the other had called them.

She shook her head looking down at her boot prints in the snow then back at the other.“Nope, I'm not a witch or a wizard either, I'm simply a mixed blooded girl born half human and half Coyote, so I can change on a whim with no need to wait for the Moon.” Mercy smiled at mention of her car. “I'm a Volkswagen Mechanic!” She was proud of her profession, never could see herself any other way.

A sudden wave of shock washed over her body as she heard what Tonks had just told her, her expression went a little blank and a numb feeling crept over her body. “Kidnapped by a lonely planet..” She blinked repeating the words, it wasn't really a question but she had to state it out loud to make any sense of it. She stepped a little closer to Tonks looking her in the eyes, scanning her face, she saw no indication of untruth, she knew very well what a lie looked like and sadly she wasn't face to face with one right now. “And you..would be the welcome wagon?” her words came out shaky and cracked.

Mercy reached in her pocket and quickly grabbed her cell phone if this woman was really off her rocker she could contact Adam and surly he would figure out a way to come pick her up and send her tuck back for the Rabbit. She hit number one on the speed dial and listened nearly praying that she heard the man's sweet voice on the other end but there was nothing. Mercy's eyes closed as she swallowed a huge lump in her throat.

She tried two more numbers and got the same sound of bizarre static she'd never heard before. She slid it back in her pocket and looked to the other woman once more. "We?...There are others?" She questioned trying to remain as reasonable as possible. "I think I'm going to need a place to lie down...besides face first in a snow bank."

Tonks nodded, not surprised that she'd been found out. It wasn't exactly hard to pick out where she was from. Her father had a Cockney accent, her mother a more high-class London one, so the result was sort of a mixed bag of the two. It worked for her, anyway. "Yeah, that's right... London, more or less."

She listened intently, tucking her pink hair behind her ears as she heard the other woman speak. "Oh, I see. Well, of course we have to hide from muggles. Otherwise, they'd get into all sorts of trouble." She grinned. "Better to leave it as it is, am I right? Muggles are happy without knowing about the other worlds that are in their own." Mercy was making a lot of sense to her, which was good. Most people she met babbled on about stuff Tonks had never heard of, so this was a nice change.

"I have a friend who's a werewolf." She spoke casually enough, but a slight sense of guilt went through her as she thought of Remus. Though she'd never had feelings for him, Ginny had stated that the werewolf and Tonks had gotten married and had a son. It was hard not to feel a little strange about the whole thing. "He's helping out in the war, too, a good werewolf. But he's definitely hard to be around when the moon is full."

Tonks sighed softly and reached out to touch the other woman's shoulder gently. "Sorry, I know it isn't the best thing ever to hear. To be honest, there's some of us who are trying to escape..." Well, really only herself and Marcus, as far as she could tell. Everyone else seemed content just where they were, which blew her mind. "And yeah, I guess I am. One of the servants of the Planet, a thing that looks like a bloke made out of rock, grabbed me and sent me. I'm kinda used to it, though, and you're nice, so I don't mind."

She waited patiently, if a little curiously, as the other woman pulled out her phone. She'd never seen a cell this close before, and watched, enthralled, as Mercy played with the buttons. Whatever had happened, though, it hadn't done anything. Tonks found herself a little disappointed. She'd wanted to see what a telephone, and particularly a cell, could do.

"Oh, yeah." She watched the cell until it disappeared back into the other woman's pocket. "Loads of other people. The Planet brings new people almost every day, it's kind of sad, really." She nodded and squeezed the other woman's shoulder. "Let's go find your room... what number is printed on the key? That's the room number. Oh, and if you aren't going to read the plaque, it just says what I said, mostly. And you're not allowed to kill anyone, either."

“Sounds nice, I've always wanted to go but I never had enough money to travel much further then my two feet or four wheels could take me. Sometimes my nose is better left out of other places.” She laughed a little, trying her best to stay calm, she was still clutching her cellphone inside her jacket pocket, maybe just maybe it would vibrate at some point.

“Yes do I believe you are right but unfortunately there was a terrible demon on a murderous rampage, leaving people wondering what was going on because the crime scenes were so bizarre, facts change to look like random acts of violence or sudden suicides. Anyway to make a long story short after I took care of the demon with some major help the werewolves thought it would be best to come out and announce themselves to the public, some of the Fae have and live on their own reservations, The vampires well they had to make their presence known and are not forbidden to kill so as I have learned they keep house with willing victims.” Mercy flet that talking about these things was the best way to keep her mind occupied and from totally freaking out, it took a long time for her to do this but she felt she had learned her lesson well. “As for walkers like me? I'm the only one I have ever known...I hope I'm not boring you.”

She smiled knowing the other woman had been around a werewolf it gave them some sort of bond, she knew the woman would be able to relate. “I was raised by them and my boyfriend, well he just happens to be one. ” Mercy wished Adam were here right now he'd know just what to do, what to say to calm her down, he had that pull over her no matter how hard she resisted it and it wasn't just because he was an Alpha. “Try having a pack of them live across your back fence when the moon is full! I do love the moon, don't get me wrong she's amazing but I'm damn thankful I don't turn into a barking mad lunatic because of it.” She laughed, and for the first time she felt comfortable talking to a female stranger about her life, maybe it was the strange circumstances that loosened her lips or maybe it was finally time to relax and be open to more friends of her own gender.

“There's a war where you're from? It must be so hard for you being snatched from the middle of it.”Mercy thought of Zee and sighed and walked behind Tonks.“I have my own trouble I'm supposed to be dealing with right now as it goes.” She perked up once she heard of escape. “I'll definitely help! I need to be home, it's a matter of life or jail.” Her heart felt heavy in her chest and her body was still sore, she took the key and examined it reading the number out loud. “E108, that mean anything to you?” She questioned.

"Me kill?" she laughed. "Trust me that's the last thing I want to be doing, I've had more of that then any person should." She nodded still fallowing along trying her best to digest all of this. "Tonks, is there a way my car can be brought somewhere safe? I'd hate to leave it there... And you know if we all work together.. I think we can find a way home."

This was one of the more pleasant welcomes she'd had. Even Ginny, Fred and George had been somewhat uncomfortable. The twins had been bound and convinced that she was playing a prank on them. Which, to be fair, wasn't exactly out of character for her. But Mercy was being very calm and thinking things through. Tonks was starting to think she liked her quite a bit.

"I'm a witch, so I can get around well enough." She apparated with a loud pop, ending up slightly ahead of where she'd been a couple of seconds ago. Just to demonstrate how it all worked. "Wizards and witches can do that. Or there's the brooms, of course." Man, it was nice talking to someone and feeling like she might have a clue what she was talking about. Different. She liked it. She also liked hearing the other girl speak. She had interesting things to say.

"No, Merlin, no! You're bloody brilliant, you know that?" She grinned at the other woman, enjoying this immensely. "Not boring at all. It's been a long time since anyone had anything new to teach me about this sort of thing." Of course, Marcus had taught her about space travel, and Elminster had taught her a different type of magic, but that felt different. Was it becasue this was another woman? There hadn't been so many other women that she considered friends. Probably because her job mostly attracted men.

"Remus is nice." She smiled fondly. Of the men who were around in the Order of the Phoenix, it wasn't surprising that he would have been the one she'd fall in love with if she'd stayed on Earth. He was a sweet guy, much more than her cousin Sirius. "Still, he was enough of a handful that I don't need to have a whole pack, thanks." She laughed, but knew it would be very dangerous. Remus himself was dangerous enough.

She sighed softly, though, the laughter dying on her lips. "Yeah. There's a war." Which made her feel guilty as hell about Marcus, she had to admit. She had taken a lover here, when she should be focusing all her attention on getting home. "It's complicated, but the Dark Lord has returned and wants to take over the world." She stopped to consider. "Or maybe it isn't that complicated, now that I think about it." Mercy's story made her rest a companionable arm over the other woman's shoulder. "We all have things to get back to... well... most of us."

Her eyes widened, and she tripped over a small patch of snow and fell to the ground. She looked up at the other woman with large eyes. "Sorry. It's just that... that's right down the hall from my room. I think I can handle finding it for you." She took out her wand and flicked it. "Accio car" The thing obediantly rose up into the air and started following along after the two women. Finally, Tonks set it down outside the building. "Planet, we need a garage, thanks." A small one car garage sprung up out of nowhere, and she flicked the car into the building that was hardly more than a shack.

"Okay, that's out of the way, let's go find your room."

Honestly she was surprising herself with how good she had taken all of this, maybe she had knocked herself around a little to hard in the car when it crashed. And ever present thump to her head was knocking on her skull like a wood pecker. Mercy hoped Woody would give her a break and buzz off soon because she was having a hard time hearing herself think.

She watched Tonks as they spoke it was funny how this woman was so easy to talk to where normally she had no time to talk to girls at home all they were interested in were makeup and boys, she never wore makeup and as for boys well that was something she kept to herself. Other females she had known were Werewolves and without talking to her they seemed to hate her with a vengeance. She'd stooped trying to make female friends a long time ago and it suited her just fine.

Now however talking to the brightly coloured woman was a bit of a breeze, relaxed and she felt like she could relate to the other, this was again something she had a hard time with back home. It's not like she was starving for companionship she had enough friends but what was missing was someone she could connect with on another level besides radiators, hunting strategies and debates of all and any nature.

Mercy smiled listening to Tonks and made sure she paid attention picking up any information she could about exactly what was going on and the others experiences. Becoming some what of a detective seemed like her new hobby as of late but she accepted the position, just another thing to go on her resume next to Vampire slayer and Werewolf tamer.

She chuckled at her own thoughts then acted impressed once she saw the woman relocate a few feet in front of her. Mercy had seen magic before but this time it was more enjoyable then watching Elizaveta
cleaning up after a bloody incident. “You certainly are an interesting one, and I bet I haven't seen half of it hmm?”

She sighed a little thinking of her friends, especially Adam who was probably beside himself with raged right now over her disappearance. “It's a lot of testosterone and mind games really, I've had to learn how to let them think they are in control around me but keep my ground, not let them dominate me and think I'm just another pup in the chain of command. Adam the alpha had to proclaim me as his mate before I ever got interested in him so the others would leave me alone. Wasn't exactly my idea but it's saved my life on a few separate occasions.”

Watching the other's expression change she felt bad for the other knowing just what it was like to be in the middle of a crisis and being dragged away, she figured that was probably how it would be for most people who had ended up here. “I'm sure they have it under control back in your homeland.” She nodded listening. “Maybe you can tell me about it sometime, and the nicer things about your home.” She offered a smile.

Standing back Mercy watched her Rabbit lift into the air and bounce though the sky fallowing them, it actually looked like it was hopping giving her car more character then the old thing already had. She couldn't help but chuckle as they walked along with it fallowing them like a pet. “Thank you!”

“Oh so I guess that makes us neighbors then?” She nodded continuing to walk feeling very worn out not to mention the cold was starting to chill her lips and the rest of her remaining exposed parts. They came to the building taking note of the area they were in. Mercy pulled the key out of her pocket then turned to look at the other.

“Thanks again, I mean really.” She smiled warmly and nodded. She felt sudden feeling of awkwardness swept over her that didn't really make much sense, but nothing else really did right now so she let it slide. “I'll see you around yeah?” She questioned looking over the other.

The two women chattered on, and Tonks was surprised by just how comfortable she was with her. This was no airhead, like so many other women were. This wasn't someone who could find nothing to talk about but thier boyfriend, shopping, makeup and clothing. This woman had substance, and Tonks found herself completely enjoying this.

Still, she could tell the strain was getting to her. Which was fair enough, really. She'd been freaked out enough when she'd been brought, and that had been almost a month ago. Not long enough for the witch to forget. So when they got to the other woman's room, she turned to face her.

"No need for that, Mercy. I had a good time." And she really wasn't just saying that, either. Though she was a nice person, she was also an honest person and wouldn't have claimed something like that if it hadn't been true. She smiled at her.

"Oh, yeah, of course! I'm just down the hall, and so is Marcus! So if you need anything, come find either of us. But mostly me, cause I like talking to you." She grinned playfully. "Also, you can change your room to look however you want, just focus on it. Mine changes to match my hair color." To demonstrate, she had her hair flash briefly through all sorts of colors, purple, green, red, blue, and finally back to pink. "The main building in the middle of all the dorms has places to eat, no money needed."

Something seemed to be needed to wrap this up, so she pulled the other woman close in a hug. Smiling, she nodded to her. "Alright, then. I'll see you later. Anytime you need something, okay?" With a wave over her shoulder, she headed out. "Oh, one more thing! I'm thinking of starting a snowball fight later, you're more than welcome to come if you want! Just drop by anytime, it'll be the place where your car crashed, okay? Bye!"
