It took a few moments before Astor looked back up again, sipping at her hot chocolate. Wanting to protect Cody wasn't enough if she couldn't physically be there to do it. "Isn't there any way I can go home? Isn't there a president or a king or somebody? Maybe if I explain..." she let her voice trail off. It was grasping for straws, at best, she thought.
"High school kids won't hang out with me, they'll say I'm too little," Astor said sadly. "Is there anybody my age?" she tried.
