James gave a start at the mention of goblins. He'd thought they were just a myth though after his recent experiences, he was willing to accept the existence of just about anything. Undead cursed sailors will do that to a man.
"I don't believe that I care," he said with something akin to quiet desperation. "I first set foot on a ship when I was twelve years old as a cabin boy. My life has been on the ocean. If I can but sail the oceans here then that is all I ask." And in truth if he could sail here then his duty and responsibilities as a naval officer would be warring quite strongly with that. He had no wife, no child and a family he'd barely seen since he had been assigned to the Caribbean. There was little other than duty calling him home and duty is a cold and harsh mistress.
