Who: Bob and OTA What: Bob arrives! Where: Middle of the garden When: Day 13, early afternoon Rating: TBD Status: Complete
Bob stood with Matrix in the corridor, deep in the heart of the Principal Office and listened as Megabyte declared his new era. As the voice over ended, Matrix slammed his hand into the wall in frustration.
"We've gotta get up there!" he exclaimed and Bob was inclined to agree with him. He only hoped that everyone had heeded his warning and gotten out of there before Megabyte initiated his coup. He thought of Dot who so recently had been ready to marry Megabyte. Then he reminded himself that the only reason she even considered that was that she believed Megabyte's disguise, that Megabyte was the real Bob and he was only a copy. He had proved to her that he was real, with the help of his keytool, Glitch. He looked down at Glitch, attached to his arm and realized something it was his duty to do.
"Glitch: Net-wide alert." he said, as Glitch reconfigured to transmit a message out to the rest of the Net. "This is Guardian 452 of system Mainframe. We have a situation. The virus known as Megabyte has taken control of the principal office. We are attempting to subdue him. Recommend sending backup." He looked back up at Matrix
"Come on. We should get up there and see if we can stop him"
"You don't have to tell me twice." said Matrix, unholstering Gun and running down the corridor. Bob smiled and followed after him. But not all went as he anticipated.
About halfway down the hallway, he felt a strange almost-nausea sweep over him. This sensation he recognized as the same feeling he had when he went through portals. This explained why he was suddenly outside, natural light glaring down at him from the sky. But something was very strange. This didn't look like Mainframe. Nor did it look like any system he had ever been to. Even the Supercomputer didn't have the processing power necisarry to rener all this. He stared around him at nicer plants even than in Mainframe's Floating Point sector.
"Glitch: System scan" he said. Glitch complied, showing a display of a group of resort-styl buildings surrounded by desert. The sun overhead glinted off glitch and his hair reflected onto the display. Looking up, he noticed he was not alone.
"Oh, hello there" he said to the figure, who was somewhat obscured by a shrubbery, "This is going to sound like a stupid question but where am I and how do I get back to Mainframe?"
