Claire had been lounging on the beach for a couple of hours, she had lost track of time within the first hour but it didn’t matter, she would still be stuck on the damn resort even if she had been watching the time. Her choice of location had been simple, it was the only logical place she could think to go to, it was the place she had arrived at the day before and if she were being honest she was hoping someone she knew would show up. Her dad, mom..even Lyle would be welcomed!

Her attention had been quickly diverted from the relaxing sound and sight of the ocean in front of her to the loud shout of someone to her left. Shouting something that sounded an awful lot like her name! Claire jumped up quickly, picking up her sandals from beside her and heading in the direction, her pace faster than normal. Maybe someone had arrived after all.

“I knew some-Oh.” Claire stopped abruptly, her hopeful smile falling into a frown when she didn’t recgonize the man in front of her at all. Remembering it was rude to just stare she blinked a few times and managed a small smile. “Um, hi."
