-Who: Ianto and Michiru
-What: Ianto arrives
-When: Mid-day
-Where: In front of the plaque and then inside the closest entrance
-Status: Complete
-Rating: G

Ianto stared at the plaque in disbelief. The Planet? Perhaps the Planet meant the government of the planet or some other organization... Surely not the planet itself. Planets weren't sentient.

Shaking his head a little, Ianto made for the nearest doors. He hoped he could find a dry change of clothes. He wondered if Jack was back yet and if he and Gwen were looking for Ianto.

He and Gwen had cleaned up then settled down to wait for Jack to come back from the Doctor. Ianto still had his stopwatch tucked into his suit jacket's pocket, counting how long Jack had been gone. Jack would come back this time, Ianto told himself firmly. He said he would and Ianto trusted him. But what if he came back only to say he was going off with the Doctor again? Tosh was dead, Owen was dead, Gwen was married... There was nothing to keep him there. Well, besides himself but that was silly. Jack didn't love him. Cared for him, yes, but Ianto knew the Doctor came first before everyone else.

One second, Ianto had been at the Hub. The next, he'd been in the middle of a downpour. At first, all he could do was stand there dumbly before he gathered his wits about him and made for the nearest shelter. That's when he'd come across the odd plaque. Was he even on Earth anymore? What the hell had happened? Some side effect from bringing the Earth back? He hoped things were okay...

Michiru had been trying to find the pool, but she kept getting turned around. It didn't help that she also kept having to dash outside through the rapidly rising storm. All in all, it was not a day designed to sooth her already ruffled temper.

She was sure this building was the one she was looking for, but the moment she slipped inside it was obvious it wasn't. Instead she seemed to be back where she'd read that idiodic plaque yesterday. This time though there was someone else there, someone she didn't recognized. He looked as soaked as she felt and even more lost.

"Do you need help?" she asked

Ianto whirled around until he was facing a woman with... green hair. Either it was dyed or he wasn't in Kansas anymore... He cleared his throat. "Do you live here?"

"As much as any one does." she said with a short bitter laugh. She gave him a proper bow. "I'm Michiru Kaioh. You are new here?" It wasn't quite a question, since he looked like he'd been reading the plaque.

"Yes..." Ianto confirmed. "Jones. Ianto Jones." He held his hand out, wondering if she'd shake it. If she did, at least it was a good chance she wasn't an alien. "How did I get here?"

With a slight smile Michiru took the offered hand and shook it.

"Ah, well, it seems this... Planet likes to bring people here. From their own worlds or something like that. I'm relatively new myself, just arrived yesterday."

She placed the bag she'd been carrying on the floor, unzipped it and pulled out a large dry towel. She offered it to Ianto. "Here, you look drenched."

"I see..." Ianto more or less got it. Not the strangest thing that could have happened but still. "And, ah, how does one go about getting back to where they came from? Or do you not know that? Surely there's got to be a way to leave."

When she offered the towel, Ianto protested. "Oh, no, I couldn't. Do you know where I could maybe find some dry clothes...?"

Michiru raised an eyebrow and indicated the plaque. "According to that we can not leave." She offered him the towel again. "Take it, I have another, and can get more. Take it."

She looked around. "Usually there's these... golum things that will bring you a key." She looked towards where one had come from yesterday. "And if you could bring umbrellas it would be nice too" she added, pitching her voice to carry.

Well, he was soaking wet... "Thank you," Ianto said gratefully, finally taking the towel and using it to first dry his face and the back of his neck off. "Golems?" he asked curiously. He refused to believe there was not a way to leave the planet... After he got some dry clothes and hopefully a warm shower, he'd do some investigating. At least he hadn't arrived on a hostile planet.

She pulled another towel out of her bag and began squeezing the excess water out of her own hair.

"They're... creatures. From what I've seen they do all the 'work' around here. Ah here we go!" she said as one of the golems approched, carrying a key and two umbrellas.

"Thank you" she said, her tone slightly ironic. She bowed to the golem and took one of the umbrellas. "The key is for you I believe"

Ianto took the key and other umbrella, looking a little bit puzzled. "What's the key for?" he asked, the towel hanging around the back of his neck.

Michiru raised one perfectly arched eyebrow. "A room key. It should have a number stamped on it. You were wanting dry clothes."

She tried to wring out some of the excess water from her skirt. "Ah, the weather's getting worse and worse. I guess it's pointless to try to find the pool now."

Ianto looked down at the key in surprise, fingering it. Sure enough, there was a number on it. Was the planet really alive? How else had anyone known he was coming? Ianto shook his head a little. There were just too many questions racing through it. The plaque had said he would have a place to stay along with clothing... Well, if other people were here, it might be safe... Ianto decided he'd go to the room he'd been assigned to and check it out carefully, then figure out what to do from there. He was starting to shiver, soaked as he was.

"Thank you for helping me out, Kaioh-san," Ianto said. He took a gamble that the woman was Japanese and was from Earth. He'd known if he was wrong or right soon enough; she'd either stare at him strangely or give some sort of sign that she hadn't a clue what he meant or he was right.

"My pleasure" Michiru said with a bow. "Do you need help finding your room? I know this place can be rather confusing, and with the storm raging..." her voice trailed off. The winds kept picking up, and she could feel the sea in turmoil.

"The sea is raging" she said slightly distractedly. "This storm will probably rage into the night"

Ianto was silent for a moment, keeping his face neutral to hide his surprise. Definitely not the answer he was expecting. Weirded out by her reply, he decided to just find his own way around. "No thank you, but if you wouldn't mind pointing me in the general direction...?" he asked.

"As you wish" she said, and gave him the best directions she could to the dorms. "Good luck Jones-san. I hope we can meet again."

Again, she surprised him by her words. He smiled slightly and bowed his head. "As do I. Thank you again," he told her, then turned and headed off to try and find the room he'd been given. Definitely an interesting woman. If Ianto was going to be here for awhile, which he got the sinking feeling he very well just might be, he looked forward to getting to know her better.
