Who: Xena & Gabrielle.
When: Day Eight
What: Horseback riding and maybe a hike, fishing.
Where: The meadows/mountains
Rating: PG, for now.
Status: In Progress

Having fallen asleep in the arms of Xena, Gabrielle woke feeling refreshed and well rested, ready to start the day. She was buzzing with energy and didn’t want to waste any time on sleeping in. She moved her green eyes over to Xena, watching her beautiful lover sleep, memorizing just how peaceful and calm she looked, taking in her beauty, not wanting to wake her up yet but couldn’t resist doing so.

“Xena, wake up.” She said, pecking the warrior’s cheek then only to give her a soft kiss on the lips, having surprisingly woken up before her. It was one of those once in a lifetime moments, being awake before the warrior. She pushed the blankets off them then proceeded to crawl out of bed, making her way into the bathroom, wanting to get showered and dressed, excited about their day.

After a nice warm shower, she dried off and got dressed, pulling on her skirt and bra top before putting her boots on. She dried her hair and walked out of the bathroom, feeling rather giddy as she walked over to the table, packing up a few of her scrolls and ink, figuring she could use the outdoor time to write while Xena fished or something. She was sure they would find something to pass the time, enjoy the day.

She got them lunch for the day along with a breakfast to start the day, ordering what she thought Xena would like best. The golem bringing it to them while her warrior showered. The bard figuring Xena would appreciate starting the day off with something to eat. She sat down at the table and took one of her scrolls, deciding to write for a bit while she waited for her companion to join her and eat breakfast.

Xena had slept better that night than she had in a while. Still in her pleasant dreams, she felt the stirring beside her. Her eyes fluttered open at the pressure on her cheek from the kiss, and then really opened when she felt the kiss to her lips. She smiled against the kiss and reached out to pull Gabrielle closer, but the bard had slipped out of bed. Xena turned onto her back and gazed at the ceiling. She smiled to herself before she pulled herself from bed as well.

She listened to the water pouring down in the bathroom, and looked through her wardrobe for something to wear. For the second day in a row she didn't want to wear her armor. She knew they were going horseback riding, though, and wanted to be comfortable. She chose something resembling the Roman armor she'd fought her daughter in. Only this didn't have the silver breastplate. It was a sort of sleeveless white tunic with a tapered waist, and a short burgundy skirt that hit her a few inches above her knees. She set it out on the bed and traded places with Gabrielle.

She took her time in the shower, and even sang a little. Xena had to be moved to sing, she sang for funerals, or for her babies, but rarely when called upon. She remembered when she had sung in Illusia and in Melodia, and that made her smile. She and Gabrielle had been on quite a few adventures together. She washed her long raven hair and squeezed the water out of it as she exited the shower. She pulled her clothes on and began to pull a brush through her wet locks.

While she had been in the shower, Gabrielle had procured some breakfast and lunch for their ride. She kissed Gabrielle on the forehead before she took a seat at the table. She shook out her hair before resting her forearms against the table. "What have we got here?" She looked over the breakfast foods and nodded her approval. She picked up a peach and looked it over before taking a big bite out of it.

Juice ran down the sides of her face and her eyes widened at how ripe it was. She grabbed for a napkin to wipe her face while she chewed and swallowed, making a little moaning sound of pleasure. It was a good peach. She also took a piece of bread and slathered a little butter on it, leaning back in her chair and crossing her legs as she ate her breakfast.

"Have you decided whether you will ride with me, or ride your own horse today?" She glanced around and saw the pack with scrolls sticking out of it. It made her smile. She was glad that Gabrielle was writing again, it gave her a sense of normalcy even in this place. She took a bite of her bread, chewing and swallowing while she made light morning conversation with her bard.

A smile crossed Gabrielle’s face when she heard Xena singing, in the shower no less. She always enjoyed hearing her sing though it was an enjoyable, relaxing sound though it was rare to hear her warrior princess sing. She inched closer to the bathroom just to listen to her. When the shower turned off though, she went back to whatever it was she was doing before, not wanting Xena to actually know she caught her singing.

Hearing her question, she moved her gaze to the beautiful woman. “Oh just a small breakfast I had brought in. Figured we could eat then go do what we had planned today.” She told her, smiling as she sat down, picking at the grapes and eating some of the bread, enjoying being in the company of Xena, though that was something she never got tired of nor would she ever.

As long as she was with Xena, her life was perfect, no matter what. She had always thought that. Xena was her soulmate and the one and only person she ever wanted to be with. She was happy. Watching as the juice ran down the sides of her face, she smirked, taking a bit out of the bread, hearing the question. “I’ll ride with you.” She replied, flashing her a smile, knowing deep down she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“It just wouldn’t be the same if I had my own horse. I’m so use to being behind you.” She said after swallowing her food, taking a drink of her juice to wash it down. “I figured I could write some today since I didn’t exactly get anything written last night.” She continued, not going to complain, she rather enjoyed falling asleep next to Xena, since that’s what they had pretty much done after dinner, crashed.

Grinning, Xena nodded. "We were a two horse family at one point, remember?" She leaned back in the chair and slung one of her arms over the back of it. She took another bite of bread. "But it wasn't the same, was it?" Remembering the horse that only Gabrielle had been able to calm so they could get it out of the trap. Xena had still been pregnant then.

"I'm sure we can find a nice quiet spot around here somewhere for you to write." She finished her piece of bread and the last of her peach, tossing the pit into the garbage can. She dusted off her hands and stood. "Ready?" She picked up the pack Gabrielle had filled with supplies and opened the door. She held it for Gabrielle to walk through before shutting it behind them and locking it.

They headed out of the building and Xena stopped. She blinked against the bright sunlight and shielded her eyes. What the hell? Everywhere she looked she could see white sand with sparse blades of grass poking through. She looked toward where the lake ought to have been and saw a sparkling sea complete with waves and seagulls. She looked back at Gabrielle, confused.

Yesterday there had been barn looking buildings and lots of grass and dirt. Today there were white stucco buildings and sand. And it was bright, too. "This place gets stranger every day." She shook her head and walked down the sidewalk that led to the stables. At least they were still there. She might have gone a little crazy if Argo had just up and disappeared one day.

She stepped into the stall and pulled Argo's saddle down. "Good morning, girl." Patting Argo fondly on the nose, she talked to her as she got her ready to go. She settled the saddle on her and buckled it, cinching straps and making sure the saddle wouldn't move. She slipped her bridle on and led her out of the stall and out into the sad outside the building. She strapped the pack Gabrielle had put together to Argo and then leapt into the saddle. She dropped her arm down to give Gabrielle a lift into the saddle.

Hearing Xena’s question if she was ready, Gabrielle nodded, standing up, following her beautiful warrior out the door. She looked at the sudden change of scenery and couldn’t help but feel puzzled, figuring this was The Planet’s doing. She met Xena’s looks and just shrugged. “Must have changed while we were sleeping.” She said, taking Xena’s hand, walking to the stables where Argo was being kept.

She sat back and watched as Xena saddled the horse, knowing exactly how much she loved horse. She thought it was sweet. Watching as Xena mounted the horse, basically signaling she was ready to go. Getting up, Gabrielle walked over and looked up at the blue eyed beauty, smiling as she took hold of arm, hoisting herself up behind the warrior, her arms going right around her waist, a small smile crossing her lips.

As they rode off, Gabrielle stayed pressed against Xena, rather enjoying being close to her, her body forming into hers. It was a feeling she liked very much. She let her gaze wonder around, this being the first time they had gone towards the mountains. Everything was so beautiful and peaceful, that it made her feel content then again, being pressed against Xena like this was making her feel other things.

“So, where are we riding too, Xena?” She asked, curiously, moving her gaze to Xena, her eyes scanning over her facial features, taking in her beauty. She could defiantly see why everyone always was hypnotized by her but now Xena was hers and she would fight anyone off to keep it that way.

Xena pulled Gabrielle up behind her and felt her snuggle up against her back. She leaned into her for a moment, glad to have the bard with her. She patted the hands clasped at her stomach and then picked up the reigns, and nudged Argo into a walk. The sand didn't seem to bother the horse, and she headed in the direction Xena urged her to go. The mountains loomed ahead of them, palm trees sticking out every which way like a badly made birthday cake.

Xena grinned and urged the horse into a gallop. She loved riding Argo. She was a good horse and was mindful of her passengers. Xena felt so free on her back, wind whipping her black hair back and forth. She lifted a hand and pointed toward the mountains in reply to Gabrielle's question. She gave her a grin and kissed the her cheek where her head was leaning over her shoulder.

The horse led them up the moutain with seeming ease. They didn't go to the top, Xena knew it would be a little difficult to breathe up there and she didn't want to exhaust the horse. But about halfway up, she saw a clearing. It was blazing with tall grass and wildflowers. There was a small pond, with a waterfall that flowed down from the top of the mountain cascading into it. Xena laughed, exultant.

"Looks familiar, doesn't it?" Argo walked them toward the pool and Xena slid down from her back, reaching up to grip Gabrielle around the waist and lower her to the ground. While they faced each other, Xena leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips, her fingers tracing her jaw and trailing back into her short blond hair.

She pulled back, watching Gabrielle's face for a moment. "Do you think you will be able to write here?" She turned slightly, her arm moving around her, one finger moving in small circles over Gabrielle's shoulder as she led her toward the shore after grabbing the pack off Argo's back and slapping the horse on the rump to go and graze. "There might be fish in there." She grinned, thinking about a dip in the cool water and catching some dinner at the same time.

Gabrielle looked to where Xena had pointed and nodded, a smile crossing her lips at the kiss on the cheek. She let her cheek rest against Xena’s shoulder as they rode up the mountain, Argo moving with such grace, making it seem easy for a horse. She was glad though when they came to a stop, her gaze moving to the clearing. She took in the beautiful and yet rather peaceful sight before her.

“It does. So calm and peaceful. Good spot.” She said, smiling as Xena helped her off Argo’s back. She looked up at her, happily accepting the kiss, enjoying the cooling touch of the warrior’s fingers on her skin, it making her want to feel more. However, she cleared that thought from her mind, reminding herself that they were taking it slow. She didn’t want anything to go wrong.

At the questioned, she nodded. “I will be able to write.” She replied, a shudder traveling her spine as Xena’s finger moved in soft circles on her shoulder. She reached for the bag that contained her writing items and smiled at Xena. “How about you go fish. It’s been a while since you’ve done that.” She said, her green eyes moving over the calm water as she stepped closer to Xena.

“Then maybe I’ll join you for a swim. The water looks so inviting but I do want to write some.” The bard said, a smile crossing her lips as she leaned up to kiss her lips, loving when their lips came in contact each time, it making her feel extremely happy, not to mention lucky. Xena was hers and she knew if she hadn’t brought her back, they might never have this chance.

Pulling back, she walked over to where she had set her bag down, taking a seat on a rather large rock. She opened the bag and pulled out one of her scrolls and her feather pen along with ink, wondering what exactly she should write. There was so much she could put down on the empty scroll.

"Fishing sounds like a good plan." She hugged Gabrielle slightly before she let go and returned the kiss to her lips. She watched her bard get the supplies from the pack and sit down on a rock to write. It was such a beautiful sight. Sun glinted on the blond's hair and illuminated her peach skin. Sighing a little wistfully, Xena turned and headed for the edge of the pool.

She disrobed quickly and efficiently and caused barely a splash when she dove in. The pool wasn't very deep, and she could touch the bottom with her tip-toes and still have her shoulders slightly above the surface. She swam for the waterfall and settled herself underneath the pounding water. It felt good on her shoulders. She let it fall down on her for a minute before she waded toward the shore.

She'd perfected the method of punching fish in the face to stun them and then throw them on shore for Gabrielle. That was her plan today. She dove beneath the surface and found a couple of niches where fish seemed to hide. She punched her fist into the holes and connected with a fish. It went limp, she grabbed it quickly, and tossed it on shore. She brushed the water out of her eyes and laughed.

She loved fishing. It was a challenge, and it was exhilarating. She could see that Gabrielle was deep in her writing mode and that made her smile. She watched the water, gazing below the surface as another fish swam by. She grabbed it swiftly and threw it on shore as well. They were two relatively large fish, and she didn't see the need to get any more. They would be more than enough for a meal.

She enjoyed the feel of the water on her bare skin, and decided to relax a little more beneath the waterfall. She had noticed a small ledge there where she could sit and let the water pour over her. She hoisted herself onto the ledge and leaned forward so that her head stuck out of the waterfall, but the water pounded down on her back. Hugging her knees she looked back over at Gabrielle.

Gabrielle buried herself deep in her writing, it feeling really good to just write. She would move her gaze upward each time a fish landed on land, watching as it flopped and gasped for air. She didn’t like that it had to suffer like that but they did need to eat so she let it go, returning her attention to the scroll before her, putting her words on to the paper, enjoying this more.

Occasionally, she would avert eyes to Xena, watching her beautiful warrior swim and move around so gracefully in the water. She became distracted just watching her but managed to pull her attention back to what she was doing. When she managed to fill up one of her scrolls, she decided that was enough for now and put everything back in the bag, not wanting it to get messed up or anything.

She got up only to see Xena sitting under the waterfall, a smile crossing her lips as she moved to the shore, undressing, letting her clothes fall to the ground beside Xena’s. She dove in, the water feeling rather nice around her body. She hoped this time their swim wouldn’t be disrupted by anything or anyone. She dove under; wetting her blonde locks then swam over to where Xena was perched on the ledge.

She reached for her hand and pulled her warrior princess back into the water with her, grinning as she did so. “You looked lonely over here.” She said, pressing her lips to her lover’s, the feel of being this close to her making her feel so complete and happy.

Xena, watching from her place beneath the waterfall, smiled as she observed the blond bard undressing. She must have finished her writing for today. She thought this as Gabrielle finally dove in. She was graceful, Xena had to give her that. And, it made her proud in a strange way.

Xena had always felt protective of Gabrielle, ever since the beginning. She had pulled her out of several sticky situations, and was forever screaming her name whenever she couldn't immediately find her or knew she'd been hurt or captured. The bard's name on her lips was probably one of the most uttered words by the Warrior Princess.

She watched Gabrielle swim toward her and looked down as Gabrielle reached for her. She pushed off the ledge a little and wrapped one arm around Gabrielle's waist to steady them in the water. She moved her unoccupied arm at her side to keep afloat as the bard's lips connected with her own. Xena returned the kiss in kind, her legs also pumping in an egg beater fashion to keep them above the surface.

"I was a little lonely, as a matter of fact." She grinned as the kiss was broken and moved them closer to the shore where she could touch the bottom. Their bodies pressed together were driving thoughts into Xena's brain that were less than platonic. She crushed Gabrielle to her, burrowing her face into her neck. She couldn't believe how overwhelmingly she loved this woman.

She was suddenly glad that they had been brought to this peaceful Planet. The likelyhood of something happening to either one of them was slim, and Xena was grateful for that. She would miss the occassional fight, but not as much as she would miss Gabrielle if she weren't here. She pulled back, lessening her hold on the blond. "I'm sorry, I'm just glad you're here." She smiled somewhat sheepishly and shrugged.

A smile crossed Gabrielle’s lips as they kissed, her heart fluttering with such love for the warrior, her stomach twisting in knots. She knew this was real love. Xena was her soulmate and that made her happy. “I could tell so I came to join you.” She whispered, between kisses, letting herself relax in the water with her lover. She was doing her best to control the urges going on inside of her at this moment but it was hard.

She wrapped her arms around Xena, pressing a kiss to her temple; thankful she had come to this planet with her warrior. No matter what, she would have found a way to get to her. Feeling her pull back, she shifted her green eyes to the warrior’s blue orbs, bringing her wet hand up to cup her cheek, the tips of her fingers moving over the moist skin.

“I’m really glad I’m here as well, Xena. I can’t imagine ever being apart from you.” She told her, leaning in to brush her lips against the other woman’s, letting her body just mold into the warrior’s. She felt so safe in her arms, even though she knew deep down nothing was going to attack them.

The bard smoothed her hands down Xena’s sides, wanting nothing more then to explore her lover’s body, find out everything she could about her but she knew Xena wanted to take this slow and she was fine with that. She wanted to respect her lover’s wishes, not wanting them moving to fast to ruin what relationship they were building.

Swallowing hard, she moved her arms around the warrior’s waist, not wanting this to get awkward. “Shall we cook the fish?” She asked, curiously, figuring they would find something else to amuse themselves, they always did.

"I'm glad you did." Xena whispered back. Xena, too, was feeling urges. But she was also feeling prudish. She wanted there to be build up, something to wait for, to look forward to. The moment they gave into their mutual urges, it would be over. At least the climactic first time she'd conjured in her head.

She leaned her head into the palm against her face, smiling at the bard. "We have been apart. Usually not for very long, but it was always so good to be reunited. And to think that we might have been separated forever..." She trailed off, shaking her head. She didn't want to think about Higuchi. It was over, their life was here now. Her life was Gabrielle.

She wrapped her arms around the bard, pulling her so that she could rest her cheek on the top of the blond head. She felt the hands slide down her sides and shivered softly until they went around her waist. She was content just to stand in the cool water and hold the younger woman.

When Gabrielle mentioned fish, though, Xena nodded. Dead fish out in the hot sun probably wasn't such a good thing for too long. It was time to get out. "Yeah, we probably should." She released her hold on Gabrielle, cupping her face and kissing her softly before she swam to the edge and pulled herself out.

She wrung out her long black hair and slaked the water from her body with her hands before she pulled on the undergarment she wore beneath her clothes. She would wait until it dried more before she pulled on the rest of her clothes. She picked up the two fish and found an area that looked like a good place to start a fire.

She gathered rocks and some kindling and some firewood, then set out to make a fire. She got it started, ringing the fire with the stones, then set about cleaning and gutting the fish. She dug a hole and threw in the insides and the heads and tails. Fileting them, she looked at Gabrielle. "Your turn, Chef Gabrielle." She teased. It was widely known that Xena was not a cook, she left that kind of thing to Gabrielle.

Gabrielle frowned at Xena’s words that they might have been separated forever. That was something she didn’t want to think about. It honestly brought her entire mood down just thinking about it. A life without Xena wasn’t a life at all and something she never wanted. She took a deep breath, wanting to push that thought away. “You’re here. That’s all that matters. We’ll be together, forever.” She whispered, pressing her lips to Xena’s.

She followed Xena out of the water, brushing off as much water as she could with her hands, watching Xena as she did. Her eyes traveled over her body, looking over every curve. She was breathtaking. A smirk formed across her lips as she began to put her clothes back on. “We should really think about bringing towels.” She stated, ringing her hair out before giving her head a shake.

Following Xena over, she watched as the warrior gutted the fish, not liking to do that part. She was happy with cooking and besides; she didn’t trust Xena to do the cooking at all. She nodded, going over to get the pan and other utensils from Argo’s saddlebag before bringing it back over to where the fire was. She set about cooking the fish until they were done enough to eat.

“It feels like forever since we’ve eaten food we’ve gotten ourselves.” She said, looking over at Xena, really liking that they could make their new home feel like they were on Earth and still sleep in a soft comfortable bed. It was different but she liked it. Once the fish were done, she put one on a plate and handed it over to Xena before putting the other fish on the second plate.

Handing her lover a fork, she grabbed her own and started eating the fish, her gaze moving around the beautiful area, finding it rather quiet and peaceful here. She relaxed knowing nothing was going to jump out and get them. Gabrielle enjoyed the rest of the afternoon with Xena, watching the sunset, loving the time they spent together.

"Towels?! You are letting this place spoil you. We never used towels when we were on Earth, you know." Xena smirked at the blond, giving her that signature smile.

She sat back and watched Gabrielle cook the fish. She pulled her knees up to her chest, resting her forearms on them and her chin on her forearms. She was contstantly in awe of Gabrielle's skills. True, Xena had many skills herself, but Gabrielle's were so diverse. Gabrielle could be domestic as well as militant. And it was amazing to see her go from one to the other. One minute beating off a pair of thugs with the blunt end of her sais, the next crouching over a cooking fire.

Xena was immensely proud of her, and liked to think she had a hand in her creation. Gabrielle had a hand in the way Xena was now. She was a lot more calm, more willing to see the good in people before she saw the bad. She had to attribute that to Gabrielle. When the food was done, Xena unfolded herself slightly, only to cross her legs indian-style and accept the plate being offered to her. "It does, but it's really only been a little more than a week." She shook her dark head, wet hair sticking to her arms and upper back. "I can't believe we've been here that long."

She took the proffered fork, and began to eat the fish. It was amazing that Gabrielle could make fish taste so good with no seasonings or accompanying foods. She grinned her appreciation and took another bite. The afternoon passed, and waxed into eveining, and the couple packed up their things and rode back down the mountain to the resort. It would have been fun to spend the night out in the open the way they had in their other life, but Xena could smell a storm brewing and she wanted to get back.

Argo led the way in the darkness, her footing sure. Xena fed and brushed her down when they got back and then hooked her arm around Gabrielle's neck. "What now?" She paused a moment and then nodded her head. "Oh, I know what we could do!" She winked and dragged the shorter woman along with her into the lodging unit. She threw their stuff in their room and then pulled her along to the home theater room. Big comfortable recliners were lined up in front of a huge screen. "Have a seat!"

Xena was sure Gabrielle was going to love this. She knew she'd seen a smaller version of it when she'd done the line dancing, but this was something totally different. She went through the DVDs that lined the shelf and found one that sounded interesting. Plucking it off the shelf she put it in the DVD player the way she'd seen the golem do it at their cooking lesson several days prior. The machine turned on, whirred and a blue screen projected onto the wall.

Xena hit the lights and jumped into the chair next to Gabrielle's.

“A week?” Gabrielle said, smirking. “Feels like it’s been longer.” She added, shrugging, finishing up the food before settling back to enjoy the fish she had cooked for them. She enjoyed every bite and Xena’s company. Deep down, she knew a week would feel like an eternity if she weren’t with Xena. It was just something she needed in her life, always. She couldn’t picture herself without her soulmate nor did she want too.

As they headed back down the resort, Gabrielle sat behind Xena, her arms wrapped around her lover’s waist, holding on to her, feeling so much tension between them. She wondered if Xena felt it as well. She was usually pretty good at reading the warrior princess, figuring out exactly what was going on in her but sometimes, she couldn’t figure it out at all. Helping her with Argo, she soon walked with her back to their lodge.

The bard set her things down only to feel herself being tugged elsewhere. She couldn’t help but smile when she realized what Xena had planned. She happily flopped down into the comfortable sofa, watching as Xena picked through the DVD’s and put one in, hoping she picked something good then again, she had no idea what either of their movie tastes were like. Back on Earth, they didn’t have this sort of invention.

Gabrielle smiled when Xena sat down, letting her head rest on the warrior’s shoulder, staring at the movie screen as the previews played and soon the movie started. The title screen showing the words ‘Underworld Revelation’, which she honestly had no idea what was about but it seemed interesting just by the title.

She watched the movie with great interest, her attention staying pretty well on the movie that was playing. She occasionally glanced over at Xena to see if she was enjoying the movie and honestly just couldn’t help but smile at how intently she looked at the screen. Her eyes traveled over her facial features and for a moment she nearly lost interest in the movie but forced it away, looking at the screen as she cuddled up to Xena.

She reached her arm around Gabrielle as she sat down next to her and touched her cheek to the top of the blond head for a moment before the movie started. It was a dark film. But Xena was amazed by the moving picture. In their world, they had plays. That was mostly the reason Xena wanted to bring Gabrielle here. She knew that the bard enjoyed a good story.

She also knew that if their fates had been different, Gabrielle might have been a famous playwright. She smiled fondly in the darkness, watching the movie and thinking of Gabrielle's various talents. She often wished that Gabrielle had never come after her, but she also knew that if she hadn't she might have ended up a slave. She had also saved Xena's life on several occasions. She was sure she would have been dead long ago if it weren't for Gabrielle.

She hugged the bard closer and smoothed her hand up and down her arm. The action of the film flashed across the screen as it went from scene to scene. It was an interesting story, about vampires that looked a lot like Bacchae, and werewolves. Nothing about the film seemed far fetched to the woman who had seen her share of strange things in her life. It was engaging and entertaining and she knew she'd picked a good one to watch.

It was a mix of action, which she enjoyed quite a lot, and a love story, which she knew Gabrielle enjoyed. "Are you enjoying it?" She glanced down at the green-eyed woman. She wanted to make sure that the film choice was good for both of them. If Gabrielle liked this experience, they might have to frequent the home theater more often.

Gabrielle sat quiet the entire time the movie played, leaning into Xena, happy that the warrior’s arms were around. She was amazed at how the story was told. It wasn’t in writing but actually picture and was curious as to how this was all done. She had never imagined telling a story this was. It kept her attention though Xena’s hand running up and down her arm was enough to distract her.

She smiled at the touch, hearing her question. “Yes, I am. Are you?” She asked, curiously, leaning in to press a kiss to Xena’s temple before her gaze shifted back to the movie, watching the remainder of it, hoping that they would do this a lot more often. She liked being close to the warrior for many reasons. She just felt so comforted by her presence, so warm and safe.

When the movie credits began to role, Gabrielle turned in Xena’s arms, wrapping hers around the warrior. “That was really good. We defiantly have to see more.” She stated, pressing a kiss to her lips, completely happy right now. She felt the days events wearing thin on her though, growing rather tired. She wanted to go back to their room and curl up with Xena, unable to get enough of her company.

“I’m anxious to see what other type of movies there are. It’s an odd way to tell a story but I like it.” She told her, glancing back at the screen a moment before her gaze drifted back to her warrior. “Shall we go back to our room?” She asked, curiously.
