Bobby turned at the sound of the voice. There'd definitely been no one there a few moments ago. Teleporter. Had to be a teleporter. A teleporter he didn't know about, though, because he'd definitely never seen this guy before. After Kurt, Mystique, Warren, and some of the other mutants he'd met, Bobby'd pretty much stopped being surprised by physical mutations, so he just eyed him slightly suspiciously.
"So does that mean you've got nothing to do with this? Cause if you were teleporting and it got out of hand, or something, it's really okay," he said.
It was definitely better than the alternative, which was...well, Bobby was still trying to figure out what the alternative was, actually. His first impulse was to go with a possible Brotherhood attack, but since all of the leaders and higher-ups were currently either human, in custody, or dead, that didn't seem likely. Unless it was someone looking for retaliation, but with their numbers seriously depleted, they'd have to be crazy to take on the X-men so soon. And anyway, what the hell would teleporting him to a random courtyard accomplish? It would've been better to teleport him to a cell or something if they wanted him alive.
"It'd be really, really okay, actually, because if this isn't a powers malfunction, I've got nothing." Well, nothing or Brotherhood sneak attack, but if that was it, it had to be some really elaborate set up, and Bobby might as well not admit he suspected anything.
