We totally need a posting order.. lol
Laura, silent, narrowed her eyes. There were still lizards on the stage. Still standing close to River, she noted that the girl was a little bit swarmed. "Mind if I cut in?" she remarked coolly, grabbing one of the beasts by the arm. Focusing, every muscle in her body stretching and straining, she lifted the beast and flung it. Moving like a wildcat, she chased after him while he was still in the air. Something so dead should not move that fast.
She hit the stage before the creature did. The ones waiting in the wings, silly costumes and all, were mildly alarmed by the dead woman's presence. As beasts, they could probably smell the unpleasant odor of death that hung around her. The lizard that she had thrown hit the stage, dazed, probably unconscious; he was no longer a threat. Two of them ran out from the wings. She wasn't used to dealing with two things aware of her presence. Looking around, she focused and used that speed again, disappearing into the shadows onstage. Fortunately, where there was light, there was shadow. The two lizards stopped, looking confused. She shot a glance back towards the doors. The girls seemed to have it well in hand, but how long? And, unfortunately, these weren't men who needed justice exacted upon them. She didn't want to kill them.
Hearing a hiss behind her ear, she turned and was face to face with a lizard in a really goofy hat. Luckily, Laura preferred to feel one emotion at a time so she was hardly ready to laugh. Unfortunately, in that moment of consideration, it had her round the middle and she and the lizard were tumbling onto stage. She kneed it hard, sending it flying off of her. Okay, so shadows were a bad idea. Pale and looking more deceased in the light, she clenched her teeth. This was rotten.
