Mind Over Meta has been started to provide a multifandom IJ site for any sort of non-fanfic writing about your favorite books/shows/films/comics/etc. Whether it's a character analysis, a ship discussion, a review of filming techniques, or a humor piece on the way Book 3 was way better than Book 4, you're free to post it here.

For now there are only three rules for posting:

(1) Please cut tag after your first paragraph. You can link to your post if you'd like, but the post should be made here on IJ, not elsewhere.

(2) Avoid fandom rants. This site is for meta about particular fan texts, not meta about fandom in general (or anyone in fandom). The very helpful meta_roundup is a more general meta asylum, and you may want to comment there with a link for any such posts.

(3) Posts can be about cross-fandom topics, say a comparison of the British navy in PotC and Horatio Hornblower. They can also be a question to your fandom about an issue (e.g., Why does it seem that there are no vids about any other Elves in LotR except Legolas?)

These rules may be added to as needed should problems arise. Any questions, please ask!
