Where: Somewhere in the former Kooluk empire
Who: Tir and Kit-Kit
Why: For the two to meet

Sitting upon an old, abandoned dock in the former Kooluk empire sat a young boy in the mist. A brown cloak covered over his back and parts of his arms, he holding onto an wooden fishing pole and staring out into the ocean, giving a slight sigh. He was all alone, dressed very raggedly like he was some sort of beggar or poor person. There didn't seem to be much noise at all, with the exception of the ocean's waves crashing upon the shore. Shifting a bit, he'd glance down to see if he saw any fish, and didn't notice any. So taking this opportunity, he laid down on the dock with the pole positioned carefully between his legs so if a fish bit he'd wake up and know. And pulling down the green bandana over his eyes, he would begin to snooze off, falling into dreamland and only welcomed by nightmares.

There coming upon the destroyed docks of El-Eel was Kit-Kit, she'd finally found some civilization after walking for what seemed like forever. The girl was pale, frail-looking with a simplistic white dress that was weather and kind of dirty. Thankfully, she'd been eating in the forest and was smart enough to find out what she could eat and where she could sleep. When she came out and climbed over the large stone in her way or she changed the shape so it was easy for her to walk over.

When she came near the docks, her head tilted to the left,"......." Kit-Kit stared at him, pursing her lips as she wasn't sure how dangerous this person was or wasn't. When she was finally able to get closer, she felt a weird twinge of...something but wasn't sure what it was.

It was a feeling like she was near Hikusaak or when she met Leknaat. "H...Hey?" Kit-Kit tilted her head, messing with her bangs to hide her rune blatantly covering her skin on her forehead. Although, it wasn't covered to good as her hair was white, the rune tattoo was black and her skin was pale.

The boy's right hand gave him a sensation that woke him up. Though first he checked the fishing pole, but alas nothing was biting. His stomach growled a bit and then he realized what the Soul Eater was talking about as he leaned his head back and looked up to see a pale, fragile looking woman standing there in a white dress. His mouth was agape slightly, and his eyes had a look of confused. He blinked a bit, remaining quiet until finally he'd wave his hand in a sort of upside-down sort of manner.

"Hello." He said, waiting for her to do something. He should have been more cautious, especially considering she appeared to have a True Rune but he got the feeling this person wasn't malicious.

"W...Where am I?" Kit-Kit spoke with ease, moving closer to the boy with her cautious eyes; had he not looked so similar to someone she knew, she might have been a little better. However, she knew that this boy wasn't who she thought and her curiosity got the best of her. Kit-Kit bent her knees beside him, swerved them around and hung them over the edge of the dock, just as he was.

Kit-Kit's delicate, nimble, fingertips curled around the edge of the dock and her muscles in her thighs moved her legs back and forth childishly,"..I'm lost." Granted, she'd never seen Kooluk around her birth because her parents worked in Harmonia with the rest of the clan at the time. All she knew was Harmonia's land, as she was never allowed to leave it.

Turning her head to him, carnation coloured hues fixated on his staff,"..Fishing?" She tilted her head to the right.

Sitting up and turning his body around to look at her, he would raise an eyebrow at her remark. "Where are you? This is the Island Nations, Kooluk region." He said though his memories within the rune helped him to see what kind of empire it once was. As she came beside him, he'd turn back around though his head was turned to the side as his hands grasped the fishing pole, looking at her intently.

Her child-like motions and were rather baffling, he could tell she wasn't exactly a little girl. "Lost? Where are you trying to go?"

The old wooden fishing pole he would look at after she spoke and he'd respond. "Ah, yeah. I do this in my spare time. As usual, I'm doing very well." He laughed a little at his unsuccessful fishing, though it was mostly to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Kit-Kit offered what appeared to be a sweet smile to Tir, but seemed apprehensive on telling people where she was going,"Well...I was freed from a prison and the magician who did it....just...dropped me off in the wood to the north..." Kit-Kit outstretched her arm and pointed in the direction from whence she came, retracting her arm, she rested it on her lap and sighed. The girl was nervous and the feeling of something being different about him was bothering her, you'd think her instincts could have told her but they didn't.

She continued to swing her legs until they grew tired and she turned her white-haired head towards Tir and moved her mouth a little to the right,"What's your name...?" Kit-Kit pursed her lips a little.

"Prison? Magician?" He looked in the direction the girl pointed, but then looked back to her. Nothing was very clear, though either someone intentionally freed her and dropped her off here on purpose, or it was Viki. Tir was only left to wonder what possibly could have transpired, though if she did indeed have a True Rune he felt he may be wrapped up in another mess again.

"Tir. Tir McDohl." He replied to the white-haured girl, smiling a little as he did, trying to ease her a bit.

"Yes, a woman with long black hair who didn't open her eyes helped me escape. -- She stranded me back there.." Kit-Kit tilted her head to the right and the hair in front of her forehead parted to reveal a strange tattoo on her forehead. The second she realized what she'd done accidentally, Kit-Kit got up and stood up with her head down towards Tir,"I...should go, Sir McDohl, I shouldn't be here." Kit-Kit offered a sweet smile that she could offer, feeling that her covered had been blown for some reason.

Trying to recover her mistake, she messed her bangs to re-cover it. Kit-Kit seemed suspicious and not very trusting to this lowly fisherman that made her feel weird. Nimble fingers moved to hide some of her long hair behind her ear, but she didn't leave just yet because she thought of how rude it would be to leave without a proper goodbye.

"..." Tir's suspicions were true, he could only think of one woman with long black hair who 'didn't open her eyes' in this area. Leknaat, dragging him into another conflict? At her insistence on needing to leave, he would stand up and smile.

"Oh? Is that so? Well then, I guess if you have to leave thats all there is to it then, huh?" He did notice the mark on her forehead, but paid it no mind as his own rune managed to show him upon her arrival that a True Rune was nearby. "Well then, nice to meet you, Kit-Kit." He extended his right hand as though to give a handshake, still smiling. If she actually grasped his hand however, she may have realized what it was about him that gave her so much trouble.

Kit-Kit flushed a shade of pink when he actually stood to say goodbye to her, even a smile on his calm face to let her know that he wasn't dangerous. Hesitantly, she took her right hand and grasped it but noticed that it had the Soul Eater on it. The only reason she recognized it to begin with was due to her rune telling her that it was. Kit-kit raised here eyes to Tir, but didn't let go of his warm hand just yet,"You..your...a rune bearer?" Kit-Kit felt unsettled and didn't release his hand just yet,"...Tir..are you going to..take me back to Harmonia? Is this a trap?" The girl didn't frown at him but looked worried.

"If you are...." Kit-Kit didn't know if she wanted to go back to Harmonia, she missed Hikusaak to a point, but he betrayed her and wouldn't let her be free if he had the chance.

He could tell now what it was she had, The Rune of Change. His smile remained the same, though his eyes had a sense of sadness and concern in them. To her words about him being a rune bearer, he remained silent, letting go of her hand and leaning over to pick up his fishing rod and pail. "Hah...no bites today. Guess I'll have to live like a squirrel tonight." He packed the stuff inside of an old duffel bag which had what appeared to be a staff next to it though it was wrapped in cloth all around with string tied around to keep the cloth on.

Her words about Harmonia made him frown a bit and lower his head. He knew of them and the kinds of nefarious plots they were up to. But Tir wanted nothing to do with any of that anymore, he didn't want to see anyone else die.

"Harmonia? No, I'm not really interested in being like them. It doesn't suit me well." He'd say standing back upright again and smiling with the staff over his shoulder and the bag over the opposite one, each hand holding onto either. Nodding his head, he'd begin to walk away now.

"You'd best head over to Toran, you'll be safer there. Tell that old woman I'm not interested in being anyone's 'hero' again." He called out to her as he walked off down the beach.

Tir released her hand and she felt herself relax in knowing that he wasn't going to suddenly trap her and take her back. The fishing rod and pail went with the male and she felt suddenly kind of exposed so she followed him,"...I was there, I was there...I don't want anyone to be a hero for me...I just.." Kit-Kit touched his arm but he started walking away before she could stop him fully, it would have been rude to make him stay with her.

"Sir McDohl?" Kit-Kit moved a few paces so he could still hear her,"..I don't know that woman, I don't want to be alone..." Kit-Kit wanted to frown but didn't, not in case he turned around.

He ignored what she said for the most part and kept going, stopping finally when she seemed ready to cry about being left alone. Sighing, he turned around and called out to her. "You should go where that magician lives, she can keep you safe. Just head north until you read Gregminster, and then ask for a way there. With your abilities you'll be fine." And he turned around again and kept going. He couldn't afford to risk another life. At least when he was far away she had a better chance of surviving.

Head remained lowered and back turned, not wanting her to follow him or beg him to stay, it might tempt him to do so and help her. He couldn't let anyone else get hurt.

"Oh..okay.."

Kit-Kit wasn't one to beg, she couldn't do that to someone as she didn't want him to feel obligated. Instead, she shook her head in response to him and walked forward to follow him like a lost animal who'd been given food. While she did follow him, she wasn't exactly quiet in her movements and soon found herself tripping and making all sorts of noise from trying to stay out of sight even though she wasn't hiding.

Apparently, she was trying to stay sneaky to some point as Sir McDohl knew alot more than she did.

He remained quiet despite knowing she was there. After she began tripping over herself and making obvious noise, he turned around and looked at her with a sigh, coming closer and looking down at her. "Listen...you can't follow me, okay? You'll only get hurt with me. I'm no good. You'll be safe with that magician, she's just north of her. Its a long walk but you can make it by yourself, okay? You'll only die if I'm around. Just forget about me and go on, okay?" He smiled to try and show she wasn't being heartless or anything. But Tir would wait for her to agree, not wanting to just walk off only for her to follow him again.

Kit-Kit stopped with wide eyes, feeling like a little girl in trouble with an adult for her bothersome following. When he finally stopped in front of her, she raised her eyes a little and fixated them on his face in hopes of him changing his mind,"I don't want to be alone, Sir McDohl. Let me go with you." Kit-Kit wanted companionship so badly that she'd be willing to go with someone who wasn't exactly good for her.

"She dropped me in the middle of some terrain and left me, she didn't even say anything to me. How do I know that she will even take me in?" Kit-Kit tilted her head and her mouth to the side.

He closed his eyes and sighed, finding her persistence and naivety to be a little annoying. But still, Tir felt sorry for the young girl's position. But him being around is too dangerous for her. Opening his eyes, he would speak. "You can't come with me. Its too dangerous to be around me."

Listening about Leknaat's actions made him sigh, knowing what the old woman was trying to do. Clearing his throat, he'd speak again. "She's just like that is all...she probably expects me to take care of you, or maybe just wanted to drop you off here so Harmonia wouldn't intercept her...I can't explain! But if you show up at her door she has to let you in if you have no place to go." Though he wondered if there was a way to get far from Leknaat's eye. The minute he was down with her, he decided he'd catch the first boat to Falena...

"Besides, Leknaat has a magic barrier around her tower. No one can get in, and no one can get there by boat, so Harmonia could never take you away from there! You'd be safest there. With me, its more dangerous than being in Harmonia all alone. Trust me on this..."

Kit-kit looked innocently at Tir, hoping to change his mind but her rune didn't appear to work on other rune bearers. While he spoke, she tried to look hopeful in that he would allow her to follow him,"Please...? Please?" Kit-Kit pleaded, her soft hued eyes lowered to the ground in extreme disappointment. The realization was setting in that she was going to be alone whenever this male decided to leave her; being the last of one's race never helped when you wanted companionship.

Over-run with rejection feelings, her legs fell from under her because of just everything. Kit-Kit had since walked from out of Toran and into the Kooluk Empire without much help and she felt utterly abandoned now,"...I should not have been so pushy to stay in your company." Kit-Kit folded her hands and and rested them on her lap. "The only thing she said is that I need to wander...but it was spoken aloud and not to me directly." The white haired girl said nothing more and set back.

Kit-Kit grew silent.

When she asked please, he remained silent and stared at her with his golden-brown hues. He felt very bad about denying her help, but there was nothing to be done about it. Furrowing his brow and glaring he would snap "No! You cannot come with me. You must travel alone."

Her apology caused him to soften his eyes and sigh a bit, squatting down next to her. "Its okay...I understand loneliness. But you must understand...I can't take you with me. Your life is in great danger being here with me right now, speaking to me. Your death would be worse than anything you ever experienced."

To her comment about Leknaat's words he smiled a bit and laughed. "Ah. Lady Leknaat is blind, it probably seemed like she was talking to someone else but she cannot see anything. In either case..." He said stand and brushing himself off. "You should head to her and take refuge there. She can keep you safe."

Turning and walking away lowering his head and speaking in a very depressed tone. "Goodbye."

Kit-Kit's eyes went wide when he shouted, her eyes lowering a little. Frankly, she'd never been yelled at directly and found it a bit frightening at his level of tone. When he continued explaining and finally stood up, she followed suite and wiped her pants off lightly.

Instead of allowing him to be depressive, she touched his hand and squeezed it, trying to get him to look at her,"I don't want to go there, I want to find my people but I can't do that by myself... Just help me find my place and I'll leave you. -- I've been separated from everyone since year zero.. --I've been alone..for four-hundred years...I don't want to be alone, Lord McDohl. Just for now?" Kit-Kit tried to smile back, hiding her clear uneasiness.

The revelations she revealed to him about how old she actually was, and how long she'd apparently been separated from her own kind made his eyes widen for a bit. Thinking to himself and looking at the ground, he was inwardly debating on this. It started to come to him, that perhaps she was of that ancient race that disappeared; The Sindar.

"Thats...quite a long time. What makes you think I can possibly help you find your people? I wouldn't even begin to know where to look. If its been that long, they may not...well...they may not be around anymore." He said with a bit of depression behind his words, not wanting to make her feel bad over such a thing.

Kit-Kit's palms pressed against her chest, one hand over the other and her eyes lowered and then rose up to his face,"I...don't want to be alone...on my journey. --I'm only one....they all left when I opened the door to the Eternal City, I could not leave at that time without removing my rune. I felt it was my responsibility to stay and I passed it up. ....They wouldn't allow me to leave...--I .." Kit-Kit grew quiet, she didn't know what to say to make him stay. The girl reached out her hand and rested it against his wrist,"You have..one...too...don't you?"

Kit-Kit examined his hand but didn't attempt to remove his glove, but she let him go,"Lord McDohl..."
