Kat/Elijah - The Cure Some would say that Elijah Mikaelson was Klaus Mikaelson’s North Star. The one that guided him along and kept him grounded. He couldn’t really tell you how true that sentiment was, considering all the bad Niklaus had done in the world with Elijah by his side, but it was for that reason that he was here, in this hotel lobby bar, with the intent to meet up with an old friend to get something that he hoped would keep Klaus on a somewhat relatively straight and narrow path. You see, Niklaus was after the cure for vampirism, and after learning that Elena and her gang of Scooby Doo rejects were after it, Elijah had become considered they might try and do something stupid, like use it against his brother. Of course, the motives on his end were purely selfish for getting his hands on the cure as well. If he had it, Rebekah, his darling little sister couldn’t take the cure and waste away and die in a handful of years. Besides, this business meeting lead to the promise of seeing her again. Her. Katerina Petrova. He hadn’t seen her since he had been daggered in Alaric’s apartment by Niklaus in the “promise” to reunite him with their family. He was shocked she wasn’t still in Klaus’ possession or worse, dead. His brother harbored no love towards Katherine. Actually, no, that wasn’t true, the only love Niklaus had for that woman would be the love to end her wretched life for causing him to wait an additional 500 years to lift the binding spell his parents placed on him, locking his wolf side into place. Yet, it seemed like Katerina had luck on her side when it came to eluding his brother’s wrath. She was brazen, he’d give her that much. For her to call him (and how did she get his contact information anyway—what connections did this devious little Petrova have) and suggest they meet up, that she had access to something that his brother would want to get his hands on. She didn’t want to tell him what it was, of course, cooing on the phone that she liked having the element of surprise, Elijah had remained steadfast in his refusal to even consider a meeting with her unless she told him what exactly he was wasting his valuable time meeting her for. The cure. Katherine had found out where it was located and intended to go and get it. For what, he couldn’t possibly say? Leverage of Klaus was the most likely scenario, because he knew Katherine would rather die than be human again. Another possible scenario was to screw over her nicer, kinder, doppelganger, Elena. Their was a rumor going around that Elena was sired to Damon, and it was putting a rather unpleasant dent in their relationship, considering Elena had dumped Stefan for the older Salvatore, and Damon was now paranoid the feelings weren’t really hers. Of course, she had to want something out of this from him, should she acquire it. Elijah highly doubted she called to tell him the “good news” just to be social. No, Katherine calling him here came at a price, and she assumed because he had loved her once, he’d pay it. Only time would tell. But he knew one thing for certain, if she was wasting his time, he’d kill her. Not exactly something the ‘North Star’ of Niklaus Mikaelson would do, but perhaps his brother influenced his behaviors as much as Elijah tried to influence Niklaus’. |

Late Night Calls He hadn't really MEANT to kill the boy...he just...snapped and grabbed him and snapped his neck and then the boy was dead. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't call his parents, and he didn't want Ana to know what he had done to the boy. Nana Rose was out of the question, which left only Kol. Shaking, he took his phone out of his pocket and dialed his uncle at 3am in the morning, hoping he'd pick up. |

It wasn't that Rose didn't trust Kol with her grandchildren, it was just...well...Kol was...special. Kol liked letting the twins (for the most part) do what they wanted just because it annoyed Elijah and Katherine. She distinctly remembered the first time Kol was allowed to babysit and the epic disaster that turned out to be. So, it was some trepidation and fear that she walked into the house. Kol's brand new Mercedes was missing and he was definitely staying here. "Kol?" She called walking into the house. "Adrian? Anabeth? Is anyone home?" |

Adventures in Babysitting "Kol, are you sure you have everything under control?" Elijah asked with skeptisim in his voice. "I mean...you've never actually BABYSAT them before. It's different than just coming over to visit while we are in the house. You have to be in control. Set limits, boundaries and not let these two get away with murder," he looked over at his twins who were hugging Katherine's legs and begging her to bring them back presents from her outing. Silly little things. They were just going to dinner. Ah...a dinner that did NOT involve a kids menu. It had been far too long since an event like that had occurred for the married couple. And it was their anniversary....so yes. This was happening. "If you don't think you can handle it, I can call Rebekah and have her come. Or Caroline. Or Henrik." |
