Marjan was still getting used to being a part of the show without having to be responsible for it, but truth be told, she was quite glad to be free of the owner/operator title. It had been hard to get and maintain the respect of her employees, and she'd never had much of an interest in the goings-on behind the scenes, anyhow. Performing was where her heart was, and that was where it would always remain. She was glad to be able to relate to her fellow travelers again on a personal level rather than from a position of authority, and it showed in the fact that she was far cheerier now than she had been in years.
After the show, she headed backstage to mingle with her friends and co-workers, and to make sure everyone was doing well and was looked after. She paid special attention to the newer performers, as she wanted nothing more than to make sure they felt at home.
She spotted Jimmy backstage with the others and decided to go check on him. He was one of the most interesting of their recent acquisitions, and she hadn't had a chance to speak with him much outside of when she'd been the boss that had hired him.
"Hello, James. How was the turnout tonight?" she asked him brightly.
