"I know." Jane was feeling cheeky today and it showed. She nudged him a little as he kissed her on the forehead and commented, "You missed. Gotta go a little further south." She wiggled her brows and then laughed softly. "I am. New patient intake." She made a slight face. "We're short handed. The nursing staff is passing around a stomach bug or something." Fortunately she very rarely got ill. And she toasted him with her coffee before she added, "Here's to hoping I don't get stabbed or assaulted today."
A brow quirked slightly as she was mid-bite, mouth full of waffle. "Well, that's what you get, silly head. You know your knee acts up more when it rains. Save it for when it's sunny outside." She gave him a poke and then dropped her hand down to his knee to rub it a little beneath the table.
