Like James had told Lolette the day before, there were plenty of doors in this place that should have been locked that weren't. And having been here for a while now, James had had time to find a few of them, though he was certain there were more. But on an island that no one could get off of, what did the staff really have to worry about? If someone ended up dead, no one would really care. And no one would ask too many questions about it either. That was just the way that places like this worked.
Door open and the coast outside of it clear, James stepped to the side, turning to keep an eye on the corridor as he gestured the other man through. He was out behind him as soon as space allowed it, doing his best to close the door as quietly as he could, which it actually closed more softly than it opened, pausing when he got it almost shut and glancing around. "Hey. Hand me that rock." He nodded toward it. There was no way of knowing for sure if this door would open from the outside in, so he was going to make sure they had a guarantee on that.
Rocked placed in just the right spot to keep the door from closing completely, they were free. The cool night air danced across James face and he smiled. It was a beautiful night, temperate and clear. It was good to see the outdoors again, to see the night sky. New York City didn't have stars like this.
