Daniel matched his pace with her own. He clearly was not going to be flustered by her sudden outburst toward him. Instead, he simply smiled and asked, "You consider that being reprimanded?" He seemed almost amused by that. He wasn't reprimanding her at all, simply stating a fact, letting her know the way that things would work. If he were really reprimanding her, she would know.
Yes, clearly the good Doctor Jennings had done nothing at all with this girl, aside from perhaps take advantage of her. So the least little bit of assertion was going to set her off. He stopped when she did, turning to face her, a bit of a smile upon his lips as she spoke. She was trying to get the best of him. It wasn't going to work. So instead of answering her question, he made a comment that he wasn't entirely certain would sit well with her.
"You remind me of my daughter." Eyes scanned her face for a reaction for just a moment before he added, "That's precisely something she would say." And then he started walking again, leaving Zowie to catch up with him. At least he had a feeling that she would.
