The eyes are different. That was the first thought that ran through Daniel's mind as the girl turned to face him. But what he saw of the rest of her was very much the same, including the shape of her face, the color of her hair. But she didn't have Clarissa's baby blues. That made him sad for about half a second before he forced his mind to return from that sect of thoughts once more.
Offering her a small smile, he introduced himself. "I'm Doctor McGaven. Daniel." That was his way of giving her permission to call him such as he gave a small bow of his head. "I'm Doctor Jennings replacement." He had been assured that the patients had been made aware of the previous doctor's dismissal, and most of those he had met so far seemed cognitive of it. Of course there could be the rare exception.
"We've an appointment with one another tomorrow afternoon, but I saw you here and I thought I'd stop to see if you'd like to accompany me on a walk." It would be easier to gain her trust if he approached her from an angle such as this rather than coming forth with the information that he had been sent for her. "I am new here. Perhaps you could show me around."
