Zowie let the jacket slip off her shoulders but was still hooked on her elbows as she walked. "I have rarely met a man who wasn't." She said simply, not trying to be argumentative just stating a fact as she knew it. "The only man who never tried to touch me was my father...well and now you." She said before looking at him when he said how beautiful his wife was pregnant. The young girl blinked in surprise and then just focused her eyes forward, confused by his statement. How could anyone find someone huge and round lovely?
She listened to what he said about not being his type and shrugged. "No not really." She answered softly as she stopped and looked through the doorway leading into the building. "Do you think I will ever be worth loving Daniel, or is this my life forever?" Her voice was soft and a little shaky, like she was asking something incredibly important but was terrified of the answer. Zowie knew she was fucked up, she knew her lines of right and wrong were blurred and that she lived in a world of grey but she needed some hope and if she couldn't find any why would she even attempt to change.
