Yes, James was crazy. Really he wasn't crazy so much as he was just dangerous. And that was why he was here. He had almost killed his girlfriend. He had almost killed her because she had the audacity to try to leave him. And why? Because of a few minor incidents that had left her badly beaten and bruised? Please! Who hadn't had the shit kicked out of them by someone they loved, right? He honestly didn't see what the big deal was, but then again, that was probably why he was in here, because he couldn't see the wrong in what he had done.
The change in demeanor was evident, clearly, and it took a bit of the fun out of the moment, sadly enough. The guy just looked sort of... broken right now. And who wanted to kick someone while they were already down? "You're an addict?" He asked even though he could have seen that one coming from a mile away. "There are solutions for that, you know?" He had been here long enough to know all about it. "For the right price, anyway." Which varied from person to person.
