Riley smiled at Rez and nodded a bit at the fact it was a mental illness. "I'm glad that you decided not to call her, it wouldn't be good for her. She would insist on seeing you and she would fall back into her old patterns, how much she was obsessed with you wasn't healthy." He said as he bit his lip and then leaned against Rez slightly, loving the feel of him next to him.
Riley looked at Rez expecting him to have come to this conclusion. "Rez, I...I didn't know what to do. He's your child, more than anything I wanted to take care of him if he needed me but...part of me needed you to tell me that it was okay to sign my name." He leaned in and kissed Rez's jaw and then sighed. "I get sent the papers every six months, she wants me to sign them but I need you to say yes." He said softly.
