When Rez simply kissed him and told him he loved him, Riley nearly started crying. Maybe his life wasn't as humiliating as it felt. He always hated telling anyone about his life because they always got that look on their face, that poor little boy look and he hated it so much. But Rez didn't look at him that way, not yet anyways. He smiled at him and kissed him back. "I love you too...and I'd stop but...I've never gotten the whole thing out to anyone before."
Riley knew now that Rez would listen so he continued. "I hitchhiked and scammed my way onto buses until I got to California. I used whatever was available to me to bargain with and since I was broke that just left myself, amazing how perverted some people get." He scowled and then continued. "Once in California I found a couple of jobs and I tried to save up for college, but it was impossible. I had gotten a scholarship but it wasn't all paid for so I needed money, a lot of money." He sighed and felt his cheeks flush when he continued. "So I did the lamest thing ever and became a stripper to pay for school. I was pretty good, but I never made the insane pay days like some of the other guys because I wouldn't sell my ass. I sold myself on the way to California but I just couldn't do it again. I had a couple of sugar daddies but when they realized I wasn't going to fuck them they moved on."
He was a bit nervous about what Rez would say to this, he was pretty sure the stripper thing was going to make Rez laugh his ass off, but Riley decided he would finish it. "One night about a week after my 21st birthday a man showed up at the club, told me he was going to make all my dreams come true. I thought he was a perv or a sugar daddy or something like that but I found out he was a lawyer, my mother's lawyer. She had set up a trust for me that I would receive on my 21st birthday. It was an insane amount of money and I was able to quit my job and go to school and well you know how the rest goes. No one knows any of this. Jane and Mike suspected shit wasn't right with my dad but they don't know what happened after I ran away, I never told them. Jane would have understood but Mike...he would have treated me like dirt if he knew that stuff." Riley frowned as he thought about how Mike had thought of Riley as his pure little boyfriend, all clean and innocent.
