[action]
[Max had been up for quite a while, and had apparently fallen asleep in a warm black hoodie and his pants from the night before. He'd spent time enough pacing back and forth, considering telling her not to come until she promised she wouldn't, but, he was a little unsettled, so he figured seeing another living being would put him at ease. Maybe. If he were lucky, perhaps.
The knock and the call at the door startled him. He hadn't turned on the lights. He didn't want to. But it made properly navigating to the door a bit more difficult, thick shades obscuring most of the sunlight from the singular window of his room, so that when he opened the door, he opened it into a very literal darkness. It took him a moment to blink, look at her, look at her- nightgown, and look at the floor.]
[He seems slightly unsure of what to say to her. Hi? Come in? Go away?] Er- [And he's off to a great start.] Hi? [A hand finds it's way to his forehead, as if trying to quell something inside his brain, but he gives her what could pass as a slight smile.]
