Summary: weekend getaway!
Adonis's persistence had paid off and he'd gotten Aphrodite to accept his invitation to steal her away for a weekend. He knew her life now was quite busy, though he suspected that was part of the reason she'd given in to him. He'd picked her up a while ago and they'd spent quite a long while now in their own private section of the jet that was taking them across the ocean to a destination Adonis had kept to himself so far.
He'd taken the trip to reacquaint himself with Aphrodite, asking questions of her and learning about her current life. He'd been about to ask her something else when he heard a discreet knock on the door to the cabin they currently had to themselves. "Come in", he called out, assuming it was his sister coming in to tell him they were almost there, and he was right.
Maggie entered the cabin, giving the pair of them a polite smile. She was dressed elegantly in business casual attire, as if she were going in to work on the weekend rather than flying to paradise. Since there was an aspect of their trip that was work-related, she was appropriate in her dress, probably a bit more so than her brother, who was relaxing in a pair of white cotton pants and a light print button down shirt that was currently left open. "We'll be there momentarilly", she told them. "Should be able to see the island from the left side in just a moment, and I was told we'll be starting to descend in a few minutes." Adonis gave Maggie a look as she gave away it was an island they were going to. Knowing why she was getting that look, she simply smirked at her brother. "I'll go buckle up. You should too. See you on the ground." With that, the door shut again.
Adonis turned and looked to Aphrodite. "So we're nearly there. I am so glad you finally agreed to come."
