The IMDB listing says Shameless is a comedy. (Comedy and drama.)
I'm not sure Supernatural qualifies either, but it's on the list because the main characters are working-class people, and it's not a comedy. And even with the ghost/demon/whatever hunting, it's not a total fantasy show.
And the fact that I have to stretch that far to find non-comedy working-class shows, says a lot about TV production company values, and what they think of their target demographics.
Trying to avoid cop shows, because even gritty ones are about cops, who are outside of a lot of working-class pressures; by nature of their jobs, they have access to privileges and people-of-influence that are unavailable to a lot of other people. Also, they generally don't have to worry about losing access to their car--and therefore livelihood--over a speeding ticket.
