- hederahelix: Sizeism in Fandom--My Thoughts - Whether we see ourselves as fat, skinny, or somewhere in between, we should strive to write stories, make art, analyze things from a meta perspective, and comment on each others work in ways that do not perpetuate that, or any other prejudice. -

- amothea: Reading Habits / Rant - The ability to save a fic quickly is very very nice for the readers. If you want to set your story apart from others in a big way, make your story easy to save. -
- gabrielleabelle: Warn for character death. There. I said it. - This isn't like me reading an original novel where the characters belong wholly to the author. This is me reading fanfic about characters that are much-beloved and shared among fandom. I participate out of love for these characters. I celebrate that love by writing and reading about them. No, I do not expect them to be killed. -
- thefrogg: To warn or not to warn, a quasi-rant... - I see the headers on fic - title, author, rating, summary blurb, author's notes (if any), warnings (if any), fandom, pairing (if any) -- as the equivalent of the movie trailer, or episode preview of a television show, or the back cover/inside flap blurb on a book. -
- trigger_fence: Why Everyone Was Right, But Also Wrong, Why That Is Okay, And What We're Going to Do About It - That shouting anti-advertisement of one's own art is neither what survivors need nor what readers want to see. It's certainly hurtful when part of the writer's personal identity is being shoved into the Very Bad Things list. -
- romaine24: Warnings FTW or OMG Another Warning Post....... (not flocked) - If you don't want to label your fic for your readers, then label it for yourself (use whiteout). You gain readership, trust, story longevity and as a by product you help to make fandom a fun and safe place to be. -
