- twtd: untitled - I think that (and this is generally speaking) when someone is writing in such a tiny fandom, one where there is absolutely no assurance that anyone else out there is going to think your story is a great idea, where there is absolutely no guaranteed squee, you know that when they looked at this text (book, tv show, movie, whatever), you know that they have a story to tell. -
- pojypojy: Random musings on fandom and DeviantArt, or: all roads lead to Rome - The point is, I'm calling bullshit on the article's thesis that DeviantArt frustrates "real" artists in favor of crappy fanart because that's not the point. -
- zvi: An introductory guide to Dreamwidth in closed beta from a non-expert - So, it's still closed beta, but the Dreamwidth accounts are starting to trickle out by ones and twos, and you're not sure what to do with yourself. Some suggestions from me. -
- telesilla: Because I'm just a cock-eyed optimist; or why I'm going to be paying for Dreamwidth - So why am I going to buy a Dreamwidth membership? Why am I frantically doing the math to see if I can possibly afford a seed account(3)? Because from what I've seen, the people who run Dreamwidth are doing their best to create something that I can totally get behind, a fan run business that will deliver the goods in a professional manner. -
