What an incredible story. I found myself nodding in the story several times, thinking "I can see that," or "oh, that MUST be how it happened."
The combination of gleeful charm and obvert menace was so intiguing in Grindlewald, that you could see how Albus could recognize it so easily in Tom Riddle. He'd been there, you see, with someone more adept, more joyful, more entrancing.
This whole story left me with a smile on my face, but great sadness in my heart. The full story of Albus is so much more clear, and I really know him much better as a canon character after this story, not just a fanon one.
