I'm a total sucker for really well written afterlife fic, especially when it's treated as a slightly altered continuation of the characters' regular lives and this story just nails it. I've always thought that if Snape and Lupin ever had a good chance with each other, it would have to be after the War when they had time to work through their many unresolved issues and emotional grudges.
That scene in bed on their final night there was just, guh. They way Severus let go of his urgency and allowed Lupin to draw out the moment for once because he believed it would be their last time just gutted me.
