Someone wrote in [info]merry_smutmas,
Were you channeling Remus while writing this? Because I'm sure this is exactly what happened after the prank. It was SO good, and vivid, and... I don't know - forceful? strong? honest? - that I couldn't stop thinking about it for a long time. Not a word seemed false or forced, I felt like I was watching this scene going on in front of me. Not to mention that it was hot as hell itself, my eyeballs were on fire while reading.
I particularly liked the end, of course, especially the twist, because it was not that "obvious" kind of twist where you smack your forehead and gap like a fish, but it was very subtle and it pierced the heart more painfully because of that.

Remus sighed. "Because, Padfoot." He looked at him sadly. "I'm not like you."

Sirius said nothing as Remus turned and walked away toward Gryffindor Tower. He stood in the hall for a long time, leaned against the wall, thinking about something Remus had said.

Everything is different now, forever.

Kudos!
