I can't even say that I didn't know what I was getting into...your stories always make me cry. :)
Feedback with tears running down my cheeks is almost impossible, but here goes.
Harry was perfectly in character, following his instincts, doing what he knew was right even if it was going to break my heart. I'm glad he took the unbreakable vow, because it meant that he knew there would be heartbreak either way, but he had to do what was right. In a way, he transfered some of Severus' sorrow to his own shoulders, which is right and just, since he never should've had to suffer the way he did.
It's nice that you fit it into canon, and didn't have to hurt Ginny, who wouldn't have been prepared. You even made the epilogue poignant and beautiful, and I didn't think ANYONE could do that!
This is an incredible masterpiece. I loved Snape's looming return, and that Harry didn't need to have it laid out for him. I loved that he acknowledged that he doesn't know how to find a middle ground. I loved that he was willing to sign the wish without knowing how it would affect him, and I loved that he didn't care.
I loved how Harry didn't need to say the words. That would've been too much to ask of him, even though they poured out of him afterward.
Most of all, I loved the end. Thanks for this wonderful piece of fic, Leila, my dear.
