So compelling! I loved the picture we got of James and Sirius's friendship just through the exchanges in the dorm. Particularly, I liked when Sirius remarked:
"I've got to be there, and if I've got to be there then James had got to be there as well. There's no other choice."
His blithe assumptions that James will be with him, do what he wants, and help him irritate his family, just seem so true to both of the characters. Also loved:
"You're a nasty boy from a bad family and obviously haven't any manners at all. I can't wait to bring you to supper."
The keen enjoyment Sirius gets from riling up his family, and the sort of flirty/smug tone in that comment, was spot on.
And the interactions with Lucius, the way both Lucius and Sirius played with manipulation and cruelty, just fascinating. Loved this!
