Evening- Sam & Open.
Walking from stall to stall with a beer in hand, Sam found himself easily getting carried away in the mood of the evening. When he had first moved to such a small town from the city, he had been warned that there was not anything going on, that he would miss Dallas and be home within two months. Truth be told the longer that he was away from Dallas, the more that his appreciation for Mercy Cove grew. Yeah sure, it was a little annoying that there weren’t many stores open past 10 pm to grab a snack from if he was working past 10 pm, and yes the selection of bars to drink in might have been small, but on the whole, it really wasn’t a bad town at all.
It was things like this that he loved most about Mercy Cove, the way that they did these cute little events that seemed to bring everyone from town together. In Dallas, he barely knew the names of his neighbors around him, only occasionally exchanging the customary nod should they pass each other in the hallway. Here in Mercy though? Everyone had been as friendly as anything towards him since the first moment that he had arrived.
Pausing to look at a sign for a store, he suddenly realized he had blocked someone off. “I’m sorry, I’m not in your way, am I?” he asked apologetically.
