There were similarities between them. Sebastian had always thought so. His boss would no more suffer an idiot than Sherlock would. The only difference was that while Sherlock might drive them away with a rude indifference that bordered on cruel, Jim would take them out of the picture in a more permanent sense. Sebastian would never claim to be anywhere near as brilliant as the two of them but he could, at least, keep up most of the time.
Sebastian grinned just a little as they parted. It had been a nice kiss. Nicer than he expected from the other. He may have considered putting a little more money down and doing it again but he didn't think that was wise. Moran was more of a pawn in the intricate game between Holmes and Moriarity. He may have had a measure of freedom to do as he liked but he couldn't do anything to risk Jim's position. Letting his rival know he was a good kisser and that Sebastian enjoyed it enough to consider doing it again or often (no matter how impossible that was) might work against him. He really wasn't looking to be on the opposite end of Sherrinford's scope. So he stepped back and returned the nod.
"Have a good day, Mr. Holmes. I hope my little display didn't ruin your plans to be ignored."
