Bruce rolled his eyes at the snide remark but decided it was best not to comment on it. Even when things were calmer between them Jason seemed to enjoy trying to get under his skin. "If anything needed stitches I would've sent you to the professional." Alfred. He meant Alfred. The older man had been patching wounds like that since Bruce started out. Even at his age his hands were steadier. More trusted. "I wouldn't want to leave you with a scar and give you more of a reason to try and get a hit in."
In retrospect, the kiss was a bad idea. He'd known that Jason wouldn't appreciate it. It would cut too close to the fact that there actually was an underlying love and care somewhere in all of this. Occasionally, he doubted that Jason believed that... or maybe he just, selfishly, assumed he didn't attempt to show it enough. He waved off the comment but made a mental note not to give into ideas like that again. This was complicated enough on its own.
He washed up and debated whether or not he should head out on patrol. Jason could use the privacy and he wouldn't mind the distance.
