Hell, it had been important to him two weeks into living with his father when he started to figure out that he couldn't win his father's love no matter what he did. The escape had been important, finding a group of people he genuinely loved he could share that world with was equally important. It almost hurt to hear Peter downplay it so much but... he understood what the other meant.
"I don't think it's weird." He said, deciding to focus on that and not the other stuff. "You'll always fit in. Even if it's just with me." He didn't know much about alternate universes or the different versions of him who inhabited them but he was pretty sure that every version of himself had to feel the same about Peter Parker no matter how often they fought or the falling outs they might have.
