THE MANHANDLING MEME

A blatant ripoff of respectful homage to this.



Sometimes you just crave a gentle, loving touch...
and sometimes, you want to shake someone til the change flies out of their pockets.






  • Leave a comment with any preferences.

  • Get ready for your character to be pushed around!

  • Reply to other characters, RNG, and:



    1. Drag them by the arm; hopefully no square dancing will ensue, because this isn't the wanton cruelty meme.

    2. Grab them by the front of their shirt, possibly shoving them back. Also optional: shouting in their face.

    3. Take them by the hips to carefully move them out of your way.

    4. Smack them upside the head and deal with the repercussions.

    5. Grip them by the back of the neck like a reenactment of a cat with kittens.

    6. Put a hand on their back to steer them somewhere.

    7. Point sternly at a chair (adverb negotiable) and tell them to sit down.

    8. Push them back down when they try to get out of bed (perhaps involving illness, injury, or sleep deprivation).

    9. Press a finger to their lips to shut them up.

    10. Put a hand on their knee while sitting next to them, to discourage them from standing up.

    11. Slap their hand away from something they shouldn't touch.

    12. Grab their hair (or tie, or whatever) and yank.

    15. Grip their jaw to force eye contact.

    16. Pin them with their arms behind their back, like you're the next Bruce Willis.

    17. Slam them into a wall. Ouch.

    19. Trip them, because you are literally or figuratively seven years old.

    20. Engage in an elaborate, overly aggressive, or perhaps secret handshake.

Vampires tend to have a lot of sex appeal. It may be because evil is sexy for some, but not all vampires are evil, so maybe it's because they're bad boys or sultry femme fatales. Maybe people just figure hundreds of years of practice at love making makes vampires really, really good at it. On the other hand, the bloodsucking may be a great fetish source, something about a quick sting of pain followed by pleasure.

When a vampire is hungry and isn't quite so decent or hard up as to lower himself to only buying blood at the butcher's or trapping and draining small animals instead, their dietary supplement of preference is human blood. However, vampires can make the experience of being a drink box not just bearable, but pleasurable for the donor.

ANGST MEME



Sometimes we all want to play some angst and see just how far our characters can and will fall.

- Post your characters, name and series in the subject along with any preferences.
- Go to random.org and roll.
- Play!


1. just depressed.
Things are tough, you're feeling worn out, or whatever the case, you're depressed. You need help or someone else thinks you do anyway.

2. abandoned.
You were left behind by everyone you hold dear and now you're forced to see how well they've adjusted, how happy they all are while you're screaming inside.

3. sick.
Cold, flu, or something even worse, all you can do is lay back and let someone take care of you.

4. fight.
You've been fighting nonstop with the other person and it just keep escalating.

5. break up.
You're being broken up with and they won't reconsider... Damn.

6. separated.
For some reason, you've been separated from the other person for a long time.

7. kidnapped.
You've been held captive for how long now? Maybe they've been torturing you even, using your blood to write ransom notes, threatening to cut off fingers to send next, etc. Rescue is on the way though, right?

8. beaten up.
Just because someone didn't like you or maybe they wanted something you had, whatever the case is, you're coming home sporting some nasty wounds and bruises.

9. jealousy.
You just have this undeniable jealousy suddenly and you need to let it out.

10. cheated on.
This goes beyond just suspicion and you have full on proof of what your lover has done. How do you handle it?

11. apathetic.
You're not sad, you're not happy, you just... don't feel much anymore. The sparkle of life has gone right out of you and you're just going through the motions now.

12. addicted.
Drugs, alcohol, whatever your drug of choice is, you can't fight the draw and you can't draw yourself out of the hole, but the other person is going to try.

13. bad romance.
You know this isn't good for either of you, but you can't stop now.

14. fear.
Nightmares, the feeling someone is following you, etc. You can't shake the feeling.

15. insanity.
You're seeing things and hearing them, waking up only to realize you've done things you don't remember or you're in a place you weren't before. You're losing it and you don't know what to do.

16. guilt.
It's eating you up inside and you have to tell someone about it now. You want to be punished and you won't take no for an answer.

17. loss
You've lost something dear to you.

Taking in strays is, all in all, an understandable vice. The dips in between their ribs, those large and forlorn eyes, they can help you forget the claws and the teeth and the danger lurking beneath fur. But the habit's a knife edge; your efforts may not be rewarded with kindness (animal instincts aren't discretionary) and you may get bit despite what you've overlooked. A stray doesn't care about pity. All it can know is survival.

These warnings apply to strays of the more human(oid) sort, too.

But what may even more perilous with this type than any drawn blood is what you can get when they grow to trust you. You can earn their undying loyalty...or their love. Either from such a wild thing is a precarious path to go down, if you allow yourself to do it.

Most societies have certain mores that are unspoken rules; humanity itself even has such conventions, grilled subconsciously into our minds for our own safety. Don't go out alone at night. Avoid getting wet when it's cold. Don't pick fights with those stronger than you...okay, some of us missed the boat on the last one, but the point still stands. Society's rules tend to be more variable, though they apply to most aspects of life - including sex. In fact, bending the rules on what's considered acceptable in romance and sexual encounters can lead to anything from ostracization to death, depending on the time and culture.
