"I don't really think a sense of humor would help. If anything it'd make him more likely to find a different way to punish you than a beating or two.", the Doctor sighed, already digging out a few bandages he'd hidden underneath his cot for just such an occasion. While it was true Clopin ended up bringing them on himself, it didn't mean he had to suffer through it entirely. The Doctor was numb to his own predicament, but that didn't mean he could just ignore the others around him.
A quick glance at the other's back was enough to make him cringe, as he took a seat beside the young man, shaking his head with a sigh. This was going to take a bit of time to heal, but knowing his 'sense of humor' the young man wouldn't get in enough before he crossed their Master's path again. "You can't keep doing this, you know...if these get infected even a change of bandages won't be able to help. And I doubt they'd bother bringing in a doctor for our sake."
He hesitated a moment before he forced himself up again, grabbing a pitcher of water and a basin to try and clean up at least a little of the blood staining his skin. "For what it's worth, I thought it was funny...", he murmured as he settled behind the other tapping his shoulder gently. "Sit still, I'll try to be quick, alright?"
