RP: Another Malfoy arrives Who: Draco, NPCs (Narcissa, Lucius, Scorpius) Where: Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire When: Monday October 14, 2005 Summary: Scorpius arrives on their doorsteps
"What is it?" Narcissa asked sharply when the trembling house elf woke her up. It was only after a moment that she noticed the bundle in the house elf's arm. None of theirs were pregnant and none of them would have fathered one without permission. "What is that?"
"Master's new son be said in the note," the house elf answered.
She backhanded Lucius in the chest, waking him up. "You've been have an explanation for this or you'll be sorry."
Lucius blinked. "Explanation for what? I was certainly not snoring."
Narcissa was not in the mood for that argument again. "That child is apparently yours."
"No, Mistress, me be wrong," the house elf said cowering. "Master Draco's son, not Master Lucius."
Narcissa stared at Lucius for a moment, and then at the house elf. "Give me this child, go wake my son up. Tell him to meet us in the sitting room in the minutes."
Draco hexed the house elf, when he got woken up. He had spent the night before partying. He'd only been asleep about four hours and now this mysterious summon. He was not in a good mood, but he could hardly take it out on his mother.
He went to the sitting room, looking as hangover as he felt. Even with a potion to deal with the alcohol, there were still the other potions he'd played with and the lack of sleep. "What is it? Are you babysitting?"
Narcissa looked at her son unimpressed. "Yes, apparently, I'm taking care of your son. He was left at our doorsteps with a note that said he's yours and his name is Scorpius. At lest, a proper name."
"It's not mine," Draco answered.
"We shall see. Your father seems to know a spell to determine paternity," she said. "It seems that some of his friends were less than discreet."
"And I absolutely adore you," Lucius said. "I also know which one of the Black sister is the most lethal," he added with a smile.
"That's very good, Darling," Narcissa answered, smiling at him. "Now, can we move one with this?"
Lucius took the child from his wife and gave him to Draco. "Just hold him. Exigo Agnatio." As Lucius cast the spell, a yellow light engulfed both the baby and Draco. "He is your son. Any ideas of who the mother might be?"
Draco snorted. "A pureblood? I only bed purebloods, all foreigners. We need to find her, give him back."
"This is your son, Draco. Your firstborn. The child who will inherit the manor and the bulk of our estate. We will not let some foreign whore raised a Malfoy," Narcissa said. "What we will do is find a wet nurse. We will tell people that you were wed, and we kept it a secret, because we didn't want to put her at risk with the Death Eater escape, but she was sick and she passed way. It's why you've been out of the country so much. You've been spending your time with your dying wife."
"Mother, anyone who can count would know that she either was pregnant when we got married or that we're lying," Draco pointed out as he got up and ended her the baby.
"Let them tell us to our faces if they so choose," she answered. "But if they question it, you were in love, but weren't planning on getting married until she discovered the pregnancy and then... well the escape and we couldn't afford to tell anyone. Of course, we need to find the woman as well and ensure that she doesn't speak."
"How? I don't remember who I shagged last week, let alone nine months ago." Draco sighed. "Can't we.... I don't know, leave him somewhere."
Narcissa looked up sharply. "This is your son, a newborn, only three days old according to that note. You will take care of him, and I will use that note to find the mother. You take care of your son, and I'll worry about the rest." She would find the woman and ensure that she'd never get near them again. She put the child in Draco's arms. "Your son, your responsibility. The house elves can tell you what you need for him. After we deal with finding a wet nurse, then we go shopping for him. I suggest you learn the art of napping, because you will be up plenty."
