RP: Attack in Hogsmeade Who: Open Where: Hogsmeade When: Saturday September 28, 2005 Summary: Rodolphus sends a warning that consists of death and mayhem
Rodolphus hadn't planned on being in charge. It sort of happened after he hexed one of the unmarked Death Eater during the first and only attempt at making this a democratic group. After that, no one wanted to oppose him. He didn't go around casting the Cruciatus like the Dark Lord did, but with Fenrir as a supporter, both wizards an werewolves were toeing the line. Both groups were extremely pleased when he announced the attack on Hogsmeade.
He doubted that they understood the reasoning. Rodolphus was not happy with having to hurt other wizards, but they had to send a message. Two purebloods had been killed by Muggles, inferior beings who couldn't comprehend the beauty of magic. Rodolphus knew that those Muggles hadn't acted alone. They couldn't have, because they weren't smart enough to kill two of theirs. No, they must have had help from the wizarding world. He had attempted to find a name through less lethal manners, reaching out to Death Eaters that had not been implicated by Lucius. No one seemed to know anything, or they were unwilling to talk, leaving Rodolphus no choice. If they couldn't do things nicely, they'd just have to do them violently.
Rodolphus divided his people. This was going to be a quick strike, with no one lingering, giving them the luxury to split up.
They had several targets. On High Street, they hit Honeydukes, the Weasleys shop and Ollivanders owned by three people who had actively worked with Dumbledore. On Godric Street, their targets were more varied. The Ministry's headquarters, since Rodolphus suspected that someone within the Ministry must be working with the Muggle ministry, the Hog's Head because of Dumbledore, the new stadium owned by that filthy family and Legally Bound.
The attack was scheduled for noon when most people would be out and when the doors of the stadium would open. The Death Eaters were warned not to go inside the stadium where jinx would prevent them to Disapparate. No, there were plenty of people waiting to get inside. Everyone was told to cause as much death and destruction as he pleased for a quick five minutes an then they would leave. The only exception was Legally Bound. Nott Sr. had been a supporter, loyal to the cause. This was only a warning to get the son to help and stop hiring Mudbloods.
In their wake, warnings were left behind. Helping the Muggles will bring your death.
