FAQ
Check here for your question before messaging me. This will save us both a lot of time and, chances are, if your question is already here I will just link you here as a response any way. Chances are if you have a question, someone else out there does as well.
Is there a time limit on claims?
Not necessarily. As long as you are working on them and posting, you are good to go. However, going three months without posting or telling the mod you are taking a hiatus for a good reason other than writer's block will result in your claim being dropped so someone else may have a crack at it.
Can I write for a threesome?
Yes, but no more than this, please.
What about AU/Crossover fic?
If it's a crossover between two Megaten games, go for it. If not, I probably won't allow it - the point of this community is to increase the amount of fanworks specifically for the Megaten games, after all. Alternate universes are fine as long as the source material is still identifiable. For example, writing an AU where a character has changed genders, where something that happened in game didn't happen, etc. is all right, but writing an AU where Chidori is a princess trapped in a castle and Junpei is the valiant knight come to save her is not. If you have an idea for an AU and aren't sure if it would be okay, message the mod about it.
Can I do fanart and fanfiction for my claim?
Yes and yes! Feel free to mix it up in terms of media - you aren't confined to just the one. As long as the themes are still included, you can write a poem one day and draw an elaborate lineart the next. Knock yourself out: like I said, this is meant to increase the amount of fanworks in the Megaten fandom while promoting your creativity.
What about length requirements?
100 words minimum for fanfiction, with no maximum. Fanart can be as detailed as you like or as simple as you like, but no stick figures, please. We have to be able to tell who the characters are, at least.
Can each theme I write for be related?
Yes. You can take ten themes and make a mini-series out of them or two themes and connect them or even every theme and tie it into one large multipart (I would love to see this!).
