Lothiriel blinked at the shadow before her, and then said, "Eomer? What are you doing up here? I came up here to get away from everything. I am not angry at you just sad that things are not working as I wish them to work between us." She looked away. "I cannot blame you for wondering, or wanting to wonder if your supposed lover has deplorable rumors being told about her by her own people, and then she can't even look at her husband because of shame of said rumors." She sighed.
She moved closer to him now she knew it was Eomer and not some stranger come to hurt her or something. She set the stick in her lap, and ran her finger up and down its grain. "I have been a terrible wife to you. Letting my emotions, fears, and stresses hamper my being with you. It is only natural that you would try to replace me. I just wish I could have been better at everything, but it seems not." Her eyes finally meeting his. "But... Eomer... If you let them replace me with another..." Her eyes welled with tears at the thought, but she had to be honest with herself as it seemed that somehow the Elders, and the Counselors had won, and were going to get a new Queen that would help them control the King better, as she would not. "Let me go, don't let me watch.. Don't let them make me watch..." Her mind going to her endless dream of torment she had been having for weeks now.
Her eyes stared into his blue ones, hers a light grey, weary, cautious, and sad as it seemed they had grown to be so often now. "I would always recognize you, my love, its just you are cast in shadow for me in the fading light, and I was awaken when I touched you and all I could think was that it was someone else as I thought you were with another. And what possibly could you have done any more or less stupid then I have been doing lately?" She asked, her head cocking now too.
