Lothiriel was finally allowed out of her room, as for some reason she had got through a day and a half without getting too sick. She had well hidden the two times she had yesterday and the once today, but she was so tired of sitting n her room with only her morbid thoughts to keep her company that she wanted to get out. She walked along outside in the gardens of the Rohirrim palace, and breathed in the fresh air. She wondered what Eomer was doing, and when he would come back. She wasn't expecting him today, he was coming home early.
When she heard the familiar rushing, rustling of robes coming toward her she closed her eyes, and thought, 'Why can't I have one peaceful moment when I do not have Theodrake around telling everyone to stay away.' Between the fact that she would become so frustrated with everything that she really did want no one to bother her, or just the fact that it was easier just to tell Theodrake that no one was to see her then to say this person or that was allowed to see her she had become very isolated, and lonely to get away from the counselors and elders from bugging her.
Sir Thomas' voice was heard saying, "Good afternoon, my Queen." However, there was no bow from any of them, or any other sign of respect. "We have just heard that the mark was seen just outside of Edoras. And would you believe!!!" he said with outrage, pausing for effect, "The king has the nerve to bring with him his children that I am sure are from those wild women outside of Edoras that he beds along with all his men while they are out supposedly patrolling the borders." He shook his head, and the others around him tsked, and shook there heads too. "How appalling, animals! If he expect you to take care of his little bastards surely we will be allowed to take you home and away from this barbaric place." He wrinkled his nose in disgust.
Lothiriel started rubbing her temples as it seemed her head was started to hurt again. "We will see until I talk with the king." she said, that was all she said, as she was afraid to say much more. She didn't want them to take her away before he even got back. She sighed, and turned away from them looking out over the gardens. "Is that all you had to tell me?"
Sir Thomas sputtered, and looked shocked, even though she could not see it. "My Queen doesn't it make you upset that your King is not faithful to you or your marriage vows?" That was it she snapped, when she turned around her blue eyes were flashing. "ENOUGH! Get out of my sight with your rubbish!" Now she was seeming to not fall for their subterfuge in trying to get her to doubt her husband, and for the most part she trusted Eomer with all her heart, but just the same a seed of doubt was planted in her mind and heart.
Wedia waited for Eomer hearing that he was seen with his men just outside of Edoras in the main hall that he would have to pass through to get anywhere. She was going to talk to the King, and tell him a thing or two about what was going on around here, and he best be opening his eyes to what is going on at home not out on the borders that for right now seemed safe. Something was wrong with his Queen and she wasn't sharing with anyone, but it was obvious that it was making her sick. Wedia had also just the day before sent off by messenger a letter to Lothiriel father of what was going on, or what she thought was going on. She was not going to continue to see her Lottie get sicker and sicker because he couldn't get his head out of war.
